Always a good experience

Husbond and wife run this very fine restaurant. We have been there many times, and everytime they have served tasty dishes with a lot of flavours. You can choose between 2 menus and they have a fine little winelist inclusive some of the best local producers.

I have put very good as the food was well cooked with good ingredients and served in a nice manner when it came! However we waited a very long time between courses, 40 minutes for the main course which slightly spoilt a birthday celebration. The restaurant was not full and I am not sure why it took so long.

We had lunch here today after visiting the chateau and it was a wonderful respite. The restaurant was lovely, small and quaint and only seating about twenty five diners. The service was gracious and attentive yet not pretentious. The food was fabulous. Everything was carefully prepared with fresh ingredients and every dish we had, from the amuse-bouche to the dessert... More

In general , in touristic places in france , either you find excellent restaurants ( which is rare ) or in normal restaurants usually you eat boring food in very basic environments . Here it is different. It is the france of the past. The restaurant is authentically provincial . Very nicely set table , excellent service , rich wine... More

Truffles are a delicate business - it is not only the quality and freshness of the tuber but also in-depth knowledge and experience to make them 'shine' in a dish. It requires discipline and a sophisticated approach to preparation. And the chef at le Poeme shines in all aspects. Furthermore, the importance of the choice of accompanying wine(s) cannot be... Three of us came to Le Poeme after staying for one week at the Courchevel hotel with 2 Michelin star restaurant . Our taste buds were " spoiled " already by the varieties of the delicious food. And what a wonderful surprise was this little Provence gem! All three of us fell in love with this family run restaurant where... More

Having read all the reviews on this restaurant we booked a table far in advance of our holiday in this area in order to get a table for our wedding anniversary celebrations. Right from our arrival we were greeted as if old friends and where seated in a surrounding of what could be best discribed as local Provence style decore.... More

Together with friends from New Zealand we visited the Poeme on the 13th July. We had a set dinner, choice very good, service perfect, visit from the chef/owner at the end of meal .. nice touch! Small restaurant but perfect and we hope to be back for Christmas to sample the truffles! The best in this very touristy village!
