Fantail shrimp and fried catfish were both very good. Service was great. First time we've eaten here but we liked that they've brought a lot of the Rivers Edge menu to this place. Inside is getting a little dated but did not expect the menu or place to be fancy, just a good place to get a good meal and... More

Not much open on a Sunday evening so, we picked Simon's. We had the fried catfish and blackened catfish. They were just okay however; the place was recommended by some locals.

We went there thinking the eatery would be nice. It was more like a diner with standard fried items which the food was ok and average. The owners must have changed because the German fare that was so popular on trip advisor previous posts, was no longer on the menu. Not romantic for couples. Could remodel the inside for better... Big group of friends, they handled the service well. Food is ok...lots of different directions on the menu. Bathrooms are in a stinky smoky bar next door...they lose a star for that. They treated us well and I would be OK stopping by again. Just keep the expectations appropriately set.

By husband and I needed a quick bite to hold us over for 2 hours when the reception started. We had been driving and our meal schedule was not on normal. We needed to get to the church also. We explained we were in a hurry and could only have a quick bite. We had crab rangoon appetizer and the... More

our meal was okay but we were disappointed in the bar atmosphere and the lack of any view of the river. Our waitress was very pleasant and helpful. The food was ok. We came in shortly before closing so maybe we didn't get their best offerings.

We stopped in for an early evening snack. My wife having a salad and I trying their gumbo. We were the only ones in the restaurant. An employee not our waitress, walked to our table placed an order of wings between us and never said a word. We sampled a few then went to settle up. They charged us for... More

The music from the bar housed in the same building, but separating the restaurant by a swinging door was WAY TOO LOUD.

We were served, and never saw our waitress again. The food was okay. We were only Served one drink. So dinner came and the waitress took off. I had to try and get the busboy to run her down. He couldnt find her. We were a table of ten. We threw our money on the table and left. We looked... More

It was a clean and tidy restaurant with good options on the menu. Nothing that really stood out though. What I did like was that I was able to take the pram in and there was still plenty of room for us and all the other patrons.
