After reading the reviews and having suggestions from the locals, we found Jillsies to be a big disappointment. The service was poor. We came for lunch and we were the only ones in the place. Very unfriendly as if we were a bother being there. The place was filthy, when I noticed my water glass had lipstick mark on it,... More

The day we arrived in Hermann, we took a walk through town to see what was available. On our walk, we passed Jillsie's and decided we needed to try it the next morning for breakfast. They advertised "hangover breakfasts" with mimosas, bailey's, or bloody marys. Most of us tried one of their hangover breakfasts and were very pleased. The service... More

I read the reviews of this restaurant and had high hopes. When we were seated we noticed that the paint is peeling off of the wall and ceiling in the corner and it looks like that's been occurring for quite some time. The menu was rather limited. One in our party was quite satisfied with her salad but the other... More

Jillsie's is right around the corner from where we stay in Hermann, so we always stop in. Make sure to arrive early as it can get very busy. Cool little boutique is attached also!

Stayed at a b&b 2 nights where breakfast was lacking and not served until 9:30. So second morning had breakfast at Jillsies. Great friendly atmosphere and food was good.

Had breakfast here a couple of times on my recent visit to Hermann. I enjoyed the food, but even though they weren't busy on any of my visits the service was really amateur. As long as they aren't busy it's fine, but I'd avoid if there a lot of people there. Still, a good value and good meals.

Had lunch there one day. The place was practically empty. A waitress appeared, took our orders, delivered food and drink and then never re-appeared. I was drinking coffee and had to flag down a guy (bus boy? waiter?) and ask if I could get a refill. Never got an itemized bill...had to walk up to the cash register to find... More

Four of us were in Hermann for Memorial Day weekend. We were looking for an establishment to have breakfast on Memorial Day and Jillsie's was next door to the Hermann House Inn where we were staying. it was a find! Each of us had something different for breakfast. All of it was excellent. An item on the menu which appeared... More

Our chicken sandwiches were described as "spicy," but they were lacking in flavor. My husband's burger was dry.

The place was pretty empty when we were there, so we didn't have to wait for our food. It's a quaint storefront among all the antique shops. Food was delicious and a step up from average sandwiches. The cole slaw was the best!
