Dinner and Drinks

Great food and drinks. Perfectly accommodated our party of 9 on a Saturday night! Pretty loud but a fun crowd.

Typical local bar with a decent beer selection. Would not recommend eating there unless necessary. Smoking is allowed in the bar area too.

Friendly place to grab a drink, snack or a meal. Great selection of local microbrews as well as the usual liquors. The owners are friendly, civic minded, and positives for the community. Hermann is a great community not only for business and tourism. Worth the drive to visit.

I have nothing against small-town locals. But small-town locals who sit at the bar, smoke and make mocking comments (like, "Damn right we smoke in here! This is still America!") to other non-smoking patrons? Yeah, not so much. The food and atmosphere aren't worth sitting in a smoke-filled room with no ventilation. Avoid this place. There are plenty of other... More

Few options for late dinner in Hermann brought us in. Local beer as well as a full bar are available. The BLT salad with chipotle ranch dressing was large enough to fill up on and made with a nice mix of greens. The jaeger schnitzel was decent, but not great. The red cabbage and potato salad were too sweet for... More

The bartender/waitress was friendly. We decided to try the local German-based entrée, but discovered we don't like sweet sour-kraut!!! Would not return for that ever again.

Who can turn down a chance to visit the oldest continually operating tavern west of the MIssissippi? Not us! We loved the atmosphere, and my goodness, the food was incredible. The smoked pork chop was HUGE and was so flavorful, it was the best pork chop of my life.

Had a very good supper there. Eat in the Concert Hall as the Bar is a smoking area. Good home style cooking and very good prices. Local Brews and Wines are available. Service was exceptional.

My husband and I shared mac & cheese bites with blue cheese dressing and buffalo sauce. The buffalo sauce it's nice kick to the appetizer. We also shared a dinner salad and a Philly cheesesteak sandwich. It was the perfect amount for both of us. Would go again.

Let us watch the Hawkeye and Mizzou games at the same time! Older German gentleman was awesome; all the wait staff were excellent. This is a must-do if in Hermann.
