Very Good!

It's a Hannibal tradition to get their root beer floats & onion-ring towers! Both very good. It struggled for a few years, but seems to be coming back to new life under new ownership/management. Staff has always been friendly, it's generally always busy (which says something in itself) & has... read more

This was another great experience. Always ask locally where the best place to eat is and where the locals go and I was directed here. I would recommend this for any kind of meal at any time. Home made Root Beer and a Fried Pork Tenderloin sandwich that was large enough for two people was absolutely great. Staff was courteous... More

You get sizeable portions, other than that there isn't much good one can say. Breakfast is the only meal we will eat here and we bring our own instant coffee andsweetner, believe it or not. Few dining options in Hannibal, especially for breakfast, so you gotta do what you gotta do. How cheap and unconcerned with your customers are you... More

This restaurant is a must when visiting the Mark Twain museum. It is just a few yards from the museum. I think Mark Twain would have enjoyed the convenience of having a place to eat so close to him. I'm also sure he would have had something much funnier to say about this restaurant. It's definitely comfort food so wear... More

This restaurant was suggested to us for their homemade root beer and maid rite sandwiches. We were pleased that there were free refills on the root beer, even though the kids didn't like it. The maid rite sandwiches were not good at all. The hamburger was so fatty and left the bread soggy. The steak fries had no flavor. They... More

Stopped in for supper with our family after the Christmas parade this year. My wife and I each had the maid rites and homemade root beer and both we're great. If your not familiar with maid rites they are basically seasoned loose hamburger they are a midwest staple and we love them here. The root beer is homemade and a... More

The food here was just average. A lot of people talk about this place but I'm not sure why. Just a plain and simple diner.

Food is OK, breakfast being the best of the meals we've had here. Coffee is terrible, and "All omelet entrees come with side of hash browns" - but if you order the Farmers omelet you don't get the side because "the omelet has hash browns in it."

The foods were very tasty and huge amount. The server, however, was very unkind and spoke rather angrily, not only to me but to all customers there.
