Dinette

Just you average dinette. Food was typical of small cafe, but edible. If you're looking for something different than cafeteria dinette food pick a different restaurant.

And I love breakfast. This is one of my favorite breakfast spots, but they only serve breakfast until 11. Come with an appetite.

I've been going here on Hannibal trips my whole life, and it's always been good. Nothing fancy, but very tasty and you get your money's worth! Priced well, great selection, everything from diner-plate fare to wraps and newer cuisine. Very friendly staff; our waitress remembered us after the first night and was happy to see us the next day. The grilled chicken was amazing and the portion size was just right. There was live music outside and the staff was super nice.

I asked some people painting, and they suggested getting a maid rite. The dinette is literally a throwback to the 70s. The maid rite (not a sloppy Joe) was delicious and you'll definitely want to get it with the mustard and pickles. The onion rings were homemade and just right. The dinette was filled with locals, which is always a... More

We thought by the looks of things we would get home cooking. The burger was not fully cooked and the service was poor. It was not great tasting and my family was not impressed and they will eat anything.

Kids ate spaghetti and it was so-so. The service wasn't great, and I thought it was way over priced! I had heard great things so I was very disappointed.

We ordered a Main Rite sandwich -- ugh, I guess the bun was the sponge for the grease. Everything was fine, but really greasy.

My family and I visited the Mark Twain Dinette for lunch. We ordered the tower of onion rings as an appetizer, and it was very good. All but one of our group of seven ordered the homemade root beer and were very impressed. Our waitress was very attentive and we all enjoyed our meal. We will definitely visit again the... More

The place is right in town and offers a good menu with wonderful home-made root beer. Service was extremely slow this day due to the July 4th celebration in town with many people from out of town. Food was good. WE sat outside at a picnic table and enjoyed watching the people go by. Owners wife was particularyly friendly and... More
