Good food shame about the dead flies & the dirt.

This did appear the best place to eat in town. The vanilla shake I had was delicious - perfect on such a hot day. We shared a cajun chicken sandwich that came with the home made fries that have been mentioned by previous reviewers. Sandwich & fries were both very tasty. that's the good bit. We... read more

I got the country fried steak and eggs to begin my day exploring Hannibal. It was very filling and carried me through the day of touring Hannibal. The locals were in the dinette also so I ease dropped on their conversations. The food was good and the price was agreeable. The service was only adequate.

Where to start? The place was fairly busy so we figured we chose wisely. I agree with previous reviewer that the place is not the cleanest. The window sill was quite filthy and I had to use a napkin to wipe down all the crumbs left on the seat by the previous patron- and I am not talking just a... More

First off, I love to dine at mom and pop type diners and local restaurants. I don't have high standards but this place was just a dump. 3 of us stopped by for a quick lunch. Upon entering I should have turned around just by the décor. The place is old and filthy looking. They sat us in the front... More

We're very sorry that you were unsatisfied with our decor and the appearance of our restaurant. It sounds as though this set your expectations low to begin with. We just went through a change of ownership and will be redecorating this winter as soon as business slows down a little. This is a 73 year old building and our ugly... More

Wonderful homemade rootbeer, homemade onion rings, maidrite's, and fresh cut tenderloins! Just a good local restaurant, not a chain!

We stopped in right before we headed out of Hannibal. We received great service. The root beer is delicious, and refills were brought before we had a chance to ask. The food was delicious too!!

28 of our reunion crew dropped in for a late lunch. And we were treated graciously, our food was delicious and served to all of us in a timely manor, and the waitress was a peach and didn't even faint! Be sure and order onion rings! And don't miss out on the homemade root beer. Everything was terrific and we... More

I've eaten here almost every time I've gone to Hannibal and it's always good. The home made root beer is delish! We had a patty melt, a wrap, and the catfish and everyone enjoyed their food. Oh, and the foot of onion rings is awesome! Fresh and crispy and served with three dipping sauces.

Pulled pork sandwich and cold fries. The waitress that seated us was very nice but our waitress was not friendly at all and did not pay any attention to us other than to get the food in front of us. There are many good choices downtown. Pass up this one and pick a different spot.

We are very sorry to hear that your experience was less than satisfactory and your fries were cold. We do make every attempt to correct any of our errors while our guests are still in the restaurant, but if your server was absent we can see how that would be difficult. For our own improvement, it would be helpful if... More
