A local recommended this place. We enjoyed the combination of Java, tea and quick eats. The sandwiches were okay. The atmosphere blends casual comfort and art. Wifi was problematic, rock prompted us to leave sooner than we would have liked. It was nice to see hints of environmental awareness through the use of recycled paper products.

My friend and I chose this place to meet half-way between St.Louis and Iowa, and we spent the morning catching up after over a year of absence. We were left unhindered sitting a corner in their comfy couches sipping sweet pumpkin lattes and Downton Abby-inspired teas. We dipped into the light lunch menu and tried their spicy cheesy soup and... More

We chose to eat here due to their soup menu (squash, as well as chicken wild rice soup). They have a wonderful chicken salad with cranberries, grapes and nuts. The pumpkin chai latte was a treat! The bakery items were well done (we chose a pumpkin bars and cookies). There were mismatched retro tables and chairs, as well as couches... More

Very good place to relax. They were very friendly and summed up the spirit of Hannibal. Also think about the sign in the first coffee shop west of the Mississippi

The store is a great place to relax with friends or family. There are tables to sit at, or want to be more cozy, there are sofas. I am not a coffee or hot tea drinker, but I enjoyed a iced peach and ginger tea in the morning and came back that evening for a hot apple cider. I didn't... More

We've been here many times for the great coffee and espressos and they are really good! But this time we were there at lunch time and we split a monet sandwich (ham and cheese with a really good combo of mayo/mustard/pickle on it) and it was really good! My sister-in-law had one the previous month and told us they were... More

We went to the Java Jive on the Main Street of Hannibal. The brownie we ordered was good, but it honestly took 14 minutes to get a cup of hot chocolate and a small coffee, and this was 14 min. after we stood in line to order it. Could not understand why 2 other people who were behind us in... More

The coffee was horrible. The service was horrible. Uncomfortable, very loud. Not what you would expect for a coffee house.

I absolutely love Java Jive. Tired of your same old 'chain' coffee shop? Come to Java Jive. There are a variety of foods, desserts, healthy snacks, and coffee drinks, as well as ice cream, fresh bakery goods and artisan beverages. What I love best though is the atmosphere. You can come and go or come and stay awhile. There's eclectic... More

This is a good coffee stop. My wife REALLY liked the the Ayers Pottery shop in the next block and they are not listed in TA, but this related shop was, so they get two votes for the spot of one!
