There is always something happening down at Java Jive. In the morning, you can join in on a heated political debate with the Royal Academy of Gentlemen sitting outside, cozy up on a gently used sofa with one of the daily papers or recent magazine, and catch up on e-mail and business with our free wi-fi. Our coffee selection features coffees from all around the world in a variety of flavors and roasts, sure to suit any taste. We take pride in using a local roaster, Chauvin Coffee, a family owned business now in its fourth generation of roast masters. Java Jive also offers a wonderful selection of fresh baked goods and deli items each day. We pride ourselves in having bakers and chefs that work tirelessly to create new and interesting soups, salads and desserts.

Eclectic Coffee Shop

What a unique experience! Java Jive is situated in a 1902 building. This antiquated building is a pleasure to enjoy friends and a cup of coffee.

Eclectic coffee house. The atmosphere was inviting. The food was delicious. The coffee was amazing. We came in around 11 on a Sunday morning. We enjoyed the peace and quiet to study. Around noon, it started filling up with families and groups of friends.

This is a coffee, tea, hot chocolate and snacks shop. Old time shop building with cool floors and walls. It has that old antique ambience with the fixtures, floors, and ceiling. I liked that. A large chalkboard hangs from the front with their selections of warm drinks and there are lots of choices. Prices very reasonable at a few dollars... More

We were tired after shopping and touring, and this was a good place to kick back for a while. Prices were reasonable and the girls behind the counter were very nice.

This little coffee shop has it all. You can get pastries, coffee cake, etc. to go with your coffee OR you can eat lunch there. They have handmade pottery as well as other gift items too.

We went for iced tea (which is never a good idea at a coffee shop). It was small and descent but expensive for the size. The sweets were also expensive but very good. There is limited seating and the place does not seem as clean as others downtown. Staff seemed indifferent to the customers.

Great roasted coffee beans and barista ! Service was knowledgable on their mixes and attentive with a smile. Home-made pastries top notch! and a great place for a sandwich or wrap and great home-made soup.

I had seen reviews that this was a great place, so I thought I might visit it... We wanted decent coffee and maybe something light to eat before taking a river cruise and doing dinner later. We went at 11am, grabbed some specialty coffees and breakfast croissants. Excellent light fare.. The coffee was so great we went back after the... More
