We stumbled onto The Brick Oven while taking the "50 Miles of Art" tour along in eastern Missouri. After visiting several of the shops in the area we were ready for lunch and there was The Brick Oven. Pleasant surprise! Every bit as good as any high end Italian restaurant we have been to. Excellent menu and nice wine list... More

We had a lot of travelers that day and were glad to see them all. Busy is good and we hope to see many more trip advisor guests. More

Nice little place. Average Frozen ravioli for appetizer. Pizza was good. Super thin crust. Seemed high priced to us though

Thank you for your business omercy, yes the ravioli appetizer is frozen. I put it on the menu because of repeated requests, mostly from parents wanting it for their children because that's what kids like...I guess. I wish you would have tried the fresh breaded calamari, lobster bites, Portobello mushrooms or one of our other appetizers made in our kitchen.... More

I have for many years been a fan of an amazing dish. I have had the pleasure of dining in this Enchantingly cozy Establishment I frequent it. Not only did I learn about the history of this little Italian restaurant... I also was stunned By the knowledgeable Staff!! The atmosphere is spectacular and the wine and food are delicious. One... We enjoy eating here because it is soooo far from a average sub and pizza meal.40 dollars for a 3 course luncheon for two is very inexpensive! Subway sounds more your budget. Kelly you need to get out in the real world. I in no way am affiliated here other than we love the margherita pizza... calzones... wine ..unique salads..... More

Went to Hannibal for a day trip. Decided to have lunch here based on reviews. Not looking for anything special, but wanted a good lunch. The atmosphere was nice, as the location is in an old brick building. Nice selection for lunch options. Had a sub and pizza with side salads, and bruschetta for an appetizer. The flavors were very... Every time I've ever ate here I have ordered the pizza - cooked directly in a brick oven (you can watch it going in!). It's delicious. My husband has ordered the pasta and said it was average. All of my family loves the pizza however. The place is very charming with delicious desserts. The only downside is that if they... More

The locals raved about this place but we left feeling unimpressed. We were here on a Friday evening around 6:30 and the restaurant was very understaffed with only 2 servers. My boyfriend was excited to try the chicken parmesan but upon ordering was told that they "ran out 2 hours ago." I'm not really sure how you run out of... More

The place is charming as all get out. The food, not. They fundamentally do not understand what a sub is: they treated the meatball sub like a sandwich, cut in half, with toothpicks, and sides of a pickle and chips. No, no, no. That's not a meatball sub, big and hearty and leaving you groaning. I was left eating the... More

Hey Scott, thanks for reviewing us on trip advisor. Your comments are all well taken and believe me when I say...our homemade meatballs weigh a half pound before being cooked. When we first opened we served 2 meatballs on an Italian loaf, our homemade sauce which has green peppers in it, and topped it with a handful of mozzarella and... More

I had a meatball calzone for lunch. It was very tasty. Setting is intimate, but is family friendly. Can't wait to bring the whole family

We were visiting Hannibal again but had never tried this restaurant. We got a couple of good responses from locals about this place. We tried lunch there and found it to have very good food. We weren't too hungry so we each tried a sub sandwich. Of course what they call a sub is not what you usually think of.... More
