After a long weekend at the "Elms" we stopped here for breakfast on our way out of town. It is a "mom and pop diner" with excellent food. It was busy and service was slow but we were in no hurry. Lots of locals along with tourist. We both had Omlette's and they were excellent. Loved the crispy hash browns.... More

The place is DIRTY, food is blah. Drinks such as tea are terrible. Tea tasted very old. Mostly burgers and chicken. Blah, blah and blah.

The food was okay nothing great. The service was horrible. Our waitress just left half way through the meal and never showed back up. We had to hunt for refills and our check. The place is dirty as well.

We like the little diners in small towns, and this one is excellent. Breakfast is served all day, and I ate an omelet at 2 p.m. for lunch, thinking that I wouldn't eat it all. Wrong! Partner had a pork tenderloin sandwich that he said was very good, too. You won't go wrong here.

We happened to be in Excelsior Springs and stopped to try Mill Inn Restaurant. It's an older building with character. We ordered bacon and eggs with a side of bisquits and gravy The bacon was pre-cooked but everything else was cooked at the time of our order. The kitchen is located by the counter so you can see everything. The... More

Family style home cooking. Down home atmosphere. Staff is always friendly and the food is good at a family friendly price. With in walking distance to the Elms.

Ate here the day after I had a cold, dry, pricey buffet for twice the cost and was glad to see a down home diner breakfast served piping hot with a smile. We had the classic 2 egg breakfasts with ham and bacon. Side pancake and side of 1/2 order of biscuits and gravy. Everything was classically good.

We ate there twice while staying at the Elms. Excellent pancakes. We ate breakfast both times, so can't comment on the rest of the food. Real authentic cafe/diner. Breakfast all day. Cash/check only.
