Silky's is close to home which is dangerous! Their frozen custard (vanilla, chocolate, and lite) is creamy and delicious. The Elvis Pretzely concrete is something you must try if you like the sweet/salty combo. My daughter is obsessed with the grasshopper concrete or the brownie melt sundae... read more

Fortunately, the chopped Chocolate Peanutbutter Cups addition did not detract from the SMOOOTH CREEEAMY CUSTARD that was fantastic. The last few bites were loaded with the chewie candy & was an excellent FINALE. I'm glad we do not live in the St Louis area & were only visiting, as we would both spend way too much on SILKY's delights! Check... More

Our first trip to Silky's, and a great surprise. It was a rainy day, and we were visiting St. Louis. After some good St. Louis pizza, we were looking for some local St. Louis frozen custard. Silky's happened to be the closet to our location, and how lucky we were. It was wonderful! The two girls working behind the counter... More

Whenever passing thru MO. during the summer we ALWAYS make sure we take a detour and make a stop at Silky's. They never disappoint. The real problem will be in what to chose.

My favorite is my tried and true rootbeer float. They have great custard and far too many choices to choose from...absolute sensory overload, buy yummy delights.

I used to eat their plain vanilla custard on a weekly basis, at least. I didn't ask for any other flavors, for anything on top, nothing. I have tried many other ice-creams, including their competitor Ted Drews. I've tried ice-cream in other countries, including Italy. Nothing is better than Silky's and if and when I am ever in the U.S.,... More

I don't know why so many people seem to like this place. The chocolate custard doesn't taste like chocolate should. The quality of the nuts and other toppings are average.

Now, I will admit that Ted Drewe's Frozen Custard is the better experience in St. Louis, a city which has several good places to get frozen custard, but Silky's still has an excellent product (VERY tasty and lots of great flavors, wonderful staff - cheerful and efficient, and clean and festive with it's own sense of community in the customers)...
