Enjoyed dinner at a very nice window table. Service was excellent. I had the beet salad and smoked duck dinner. Just the right amount of food. Everyone liked their meal.

My husband and I decided to try sycamore on a date night. There were a lot of items I had never tried before, therefore thinking I did not like. Sycamore proved me very wrong! From the appetizer to dessert we cleaned the plate! The meal was fantastic! Definitely will be going back for our next date night.

Recommended by staff @ the Tiger Hotel this restaurant exceeded my expectations. Sycamore's mission statement "to provide seasonal, market-driven fare at affordable prices for the Columbia community." "Our focus is to serve fresh, quality dishes prepared in a creative, healthful way." rings true except for the pricing. Great whole food options with minimal ingredients. This is a real bonus to... Nothing too exciting with this place. Not bad but nothing that makes me want to come back. Service was good but nothing exceptional about the food.

We had 6 people. 3 liked their dinners and 3 did not. They can manage beef, but the scallops were salty and served on a bed of corn. The peppers were bitter and did not add to the dish. The salmon was undercooked and the server did not explain that. If she had, we would have changed or requested it... More

A great choice of foods, including a signature beef short ribs dish that is cooked for many hours. The wine list reflects the owner's taste which includes many heavy bodied pinot noirs with none that are fruity like an Oregon. However that appears to be the owners preferences. Great salads and dessert choices also.

We were in Columbia visiting the hospital on an emergency and were looking for a place for dinner. We met a couple on the street who recommended Sycamore and so we tried it. Glad we did.

Visitors to Columbia are given a lot a decent choices in downtown dining and Sycamore deserves to be at-or-near the top-of-the list. Our meals were well prepared and inventive and the atmosphere was very inviting, invoking restaurant experiences in much larger cities. The service was very good and we left well satisfied. We stayed in Columbia as a base for... More

Four of us met for a business dinner here. The menu had many great choices; I chose the braised short ribs which were tender & delicious. For dessert I had a rhubarb pistachio cornbread upside down cake - sounded interesting, tasted awesome. Service was professional and attentive but not intrusive. Loved the atmosphere, too. It was a little more expensive... More
