Favorite date spot

So this place hits that niche between medium prices and higher priced. They have one of the best tap selections in town, they do a great happy hour until 7 monday - thursday and until 6 on friday. We often stop, sit at the bar and order off the happy hour menu. Nice lunch spot, dinner you could... read more

I'll never understand this type of restaurant or the reason they stay in business. Way overpriced and the portions small. Why people want to spend so much money on so little food that costs so little to prepare is a concept I can't grasp.

I am very sorry you were not pleased with your meal at Sycamore. Because we use local products when ever we can our ingredients are often more expensive than they would be otherwise. And, actually, many of our presentations are quite labor intensive, and that adds to the cost as well. One of our primary goals is to make sure... More

Heard from several Columbia natives and hotel staff this was the place to try. We started with Gnocchi for an appetizer, awesome. Next I had the Shortribs and my wife had the scallops, but very tasty. Took two desserts to go, the incredible icebox cake and a bread pudding with butterscotch sauce, both very good. One glass of wine, one... More

A dozen family and friends gathered from Texas to honor our Mizzou graduate. The atmosphere, friendly service and the food made for a great experience! I'd recommend the Sycamore for any party group.

There are lots of places to eat in downtown Columbia, but Sycamore has to be my favorite. The menu doesn't vary often, but the food is always well-prepared and delicious. I've been for lunch, appetizers, drinks and dinner and I've never been disappointed. If you're visiting from out of town, make a point of eating there. The pork sandwich at... More

Sycamore always has an interesting menu, a great atmosphere, great food and great service. Our last visit didn't disappoint. Everything was excellent: cocktails, salad, pate, entrees and dessert (we had a plate of homemade cookies - yum)

For a town that was full of college students in town for the football Sycamore over delivered on my expectations both in services and the great slow food. Choosing what to order was a real dilemma for me I really wanted 2 of starters and 3 of the main courses . All the food was great and if ever in... More

I met two colleagues here. The service was good, but not overly friendly. The atmosphere is nice. I had, on my colleague's recommendation, the sinful but delicious Peppered Patchwork sandwich.
