Superb chicken pate with amazing crakers, pickled red onions and cornichons. Having pate in small town in Missouri is evenement. Especially when is delicate, light like a cream and organic. It was such memorable lunch. I felt like I was sitting in Cracow's restaurant and having pate.It was very european lunch. thank you !

My husband and I went here for our anniversary. The restaurant has a nice ambiance, but I'll admit, there's very low lighting and it's difficult to see the menu. However, our meal was delicious! We started out with the smoked trout bellies, which was very good. We wanted to try something different and we were pleasantly surprised. Then, my husband... More

Atmosphere is good. Very unique menu options. The Cassoulet was excellent. It includes duck leg, pork belly and a house sausage to die for. But they fell very short on the Scallop dinner. The scallops were under cooked and the whole meal was completely cold! As if it was prepared early in the day and refrigerated to be served later.... More

Columbia seems to have really benefited from a wide selection of good restaurants over the years. Had an excellent filet and they also had a nice selection of craft beers. The offering seems to vary ever couple of days and they search out local produce and meats. The bread pudding would give about a 7 it was tasty but a... More

Wonderfully varied menu with a great wine list. Located in the heart of down town Columbia, MO, it is convenient, fairly quiet and the menu is unique and prepared perfectly. Highly recommend the duck and walleye!

Maybe the Night Was Too Busy? The bar tender was great. The atmosphere was hoppin'. The food - not so much. Trout w/ risotto cold - maybe they weren't running in the Missouri streams? Pork belly sliders sounded good on the small plate menu, but the salt was over-powering. Spare ribs were good. Nothing like dorm food! Wine list must... More

We had dinner at this restaurant down the street from the hotel. Despite being a crowded Friday night we had only a short wait and good service. The food was good and good sized portions. I will definitely go back again on my next visit to Columbia, MO.

Enjoyed dinner at a very nice window table. Service was excellent. I had the beet salad and smoked duck dinner. Just the right amount of food. Everyone liked their meal.

My husband and I decided to try sycamore on a date night. There were a lot of items I had never tried before, therefore thinking I did not like. Sycamore proved me very wrong! From the appetizer to dessert we cleaned the plate! The meal was fantastic! Definitely will be going back for our next date night.

Recommended by staff @ the Tiger Hotel this restaurant exceeded my expectations. Sycamore's mission statement "to provide seasonal, market-driven fare at affordable prices for the Columbia community." "Our focus is to serve fresh, quality dishes prepared in a creative, healthful way." rings true except for the pricing. Great whole food options with minimal ingredients. This is a real bonus to...
