Sycamore had an extensive menu, which changes nightly, so you know the food is fresh. Our party of four ordered a variety of food, all of which was delicious! From the appetizer to the flourless chocolate cake, everything was done to perfection.

We took our daughter (and her brother) out to celebrate her birthday. Each of us ordered a different entree, and all of us were delighted with our meals. Two of us ordered fish, trout and bass, and both were prepared just delectably. Sides were creative and flavorful. You have to order salad separately, so we ordered two house special salads... More

We usually like to go to a restaurant more than once before we make real comments. Our first and second times to dine at the Sycamore were very good. But, this third time was excellent. Both of us had an excellent meal. An appitizer of fried oysters could be a meal! Her trout was perfectly cooked, unlike others we have... More

One of the best meals you can get in Columbia. The menu is unique and very well prepared. Happy hour is a must for anyone looking for a more upscale experience in Columbia; the deals are great and the food is fantastic. One of the highlights of Sycamore is their beer and wine selection. They carry beers that are impossible... More

This is a very nice restaurant with a smart selection of foods featuring many local ingredients. Also, it has a great selection of craft brews on tap and wines by the glass. It is upscale in a casual setting. Service is very good to compliment the good food. We have been there several times and have never been disappointed. They... More

This is a good restaurant by any standard. That it is in the casual college town of Columbia, MO is irrelevant. I have been here with my family at least three times now (adult kids) when visiting my son (attending MIZZOU). This time, I had the cornbread crusted walleye. Served on mashed potatoes, the fish was succulent, not over-seasoned and... More

By far Columbia's #1 place for great food and service. Serving authentic dishes using local ingredients and family farms. Mike Odette, Head Chef and proprietor, has been nominated for the prestigious James Beard Award for outstanding Midwest Chef. Relaxed atmosphere, and popular on college game days. Everything from hand-cut steaks, and fries with homemade ketchup to fresh edamame and fried... More

My wife and I were in Columbia for a football game. She is an alum and we were meeting friends for the weekend. We had arrived early on Friday and just went downtown to find a spontaneous place for dinner. I had reviewed TripAdviser prior to the trip and remembered Sycamore as being well reviewed as we walked by so... More

We spent one night in Columbia, Oh and were advised to walk one block down the street from our hotel and try the Sycamore restaurant. What a great find! The food and service were outstanding. They use only the freshest ingredients from Columbia and the surrounding area. We tried a white wine, which was from a local winery, and were... More

I had Greek salad there. The service was very professional and nice, and my salad was delicious. You could feel the taste of fresh vegetables, and it looked really nice. A bit pricey, but the food they serve is definitely worth it.
