Never fails to impress

Outstanding food. Best fried oysters outside of New Orleans. Short ribs were just the thing for a cold night. Try the Carmenere wine. I make it a point to eat here every time I'm in town.

I met a business associate for dinner during the week and had a very good meal. I had the duck and my companion the filet. Both cooked perfectly. The special salad was indeed special. The atmosphere was reasonably quiet even though the place was busy. Only complaint--they ran out of any Chardonnay by the glass and would not open another... More

There are so many interesting menus choices that one can be guaranteed a different experience every time. The small plates make it possible to share a variety of yummy items. There are not many restaurants in Columbia that have duck confit, smoked trout bellies, and pork belly sliders all on the same menu. Can be tricky to find parking on... More

Sycamore's has become a Columbia institution. Consistently good food and one of the best (and most popular) bars in town. Menu changes seasonally and features a good number of locally sourced options. Fine wine list and exceptional beer list. One of the more cosmopolitan atmospheres in CoMo. Tables in front provide nice venue for people watching on Broadway.

Sycamore serves some of the best food in Columbia, and at prices that are a bit more affordable than its high level competitors. I had no complaints about the lighting the night I went, and the service was excellent. The wine we chose was presentable and inexpensive, and fine upgrades were available. The food is interesting and well prepared; there... More

Stopped in for dinner having filet and cod. Both were good with no complaints. Service was courteous and professional but slow. The only real complaint was the merlot..they only had one glass so had to switch to a carbolet..but I survied.

Superb chicken pate with amazing crakers, pickled red onions and cornichons. Having pate in small town in Missouri is evenement. Especially when is delicate, light like a cream and organic. It was such memorable lunch. I felt like I was sitting in Cracow's restaurant and having pate.It was very european lunch. thank you !

My husband and I went here for our anniversary. The restaurant has a nice ambiance, but I'll admit, there's very low lighting and it's difficult to see the menu. However, our meal was delicious! We started out with the smoked trout bellies, which was very good. We wanted to try something different and we were pleasantly surprised. Then, my husband... More

Atmosphere is good. Very unique menu options. The Cassoulet was excellent. It includes duck leg, pork belly and a house sausage to die for. But they fell very short on the Scallop dinner. The scallops were under cooked and the whole meal was completely cold! As if it was prepared early in the day and refrigerated to be served later.... More

Columbia seems to have really benefited from a wide selection of good restaurants over the years. Had an excellent filet and they also had a nice selection of craft beers. The offering seems to vary ever couple of days and they search out local produce and meats. The bread pudding would give about a 7 it was tasty but a... More
