They need to remove their sign "authentic mexican food" W/O exaggerating, El Rancho was the nasties restaurant I've ever been to. Iwas born and raised in Mexico and they do not offer Mexican food or even come close to it. Please stay away from this place unless you feel like wasting $10 on a disgusting meal.

Not fancy, but made in sight and delicious. If I had to give a favorite, it would be "everything". They have beer and flavored soda as well as a fountain drink. Staff is always engaging and a great street view.

Best Mexican food in Columbia. The burritos are excellent, and the grilled chicken nachos may just be the greatest late night snack I have ever had. I spent many evenings here while at Mizzou and make sure I visit every time I'm back in town. I'd recommend it to anyone who enjoys Mexican food.

Every thing is made to order. It's really tasty, open very late, informal, and reliable. Terrific rice and beans, soft corn tacos, tamales, fajitas, and much more.

My family and I wanted to try a new Mexican joint. We had heard about El Rancho so decided to give it a try. It was OK. It seems to be more of a college hangout. We won't go back though. Between trying to find a parking place downtown and then the food being mediocre, we won't go back. You... More

All the food is cooked quickly on a grill when you order it. Although not high end MX food, it's fast and much better than places like Taco Bell.

Just plain nasty. Extremely surprised that I did not get a food borne illness from this place.

El Rancho is ok, if you're drunk. But you might regret it in the morning... lol. I wouldn't go here if you want real Mexican food. It is similar to the frozen, tv dinner-style meals. Gross.

El Rancho is actually much better than you would expect based on its appearance. The menu is limited, but the food is rather good and very affordable. Not the best Mexican food in the area, but it will do if you are in a hurry and craving it. It is cafe style (you go to the front, order, and wait for... More
