This is probably one of Como's best breakfast places. I've had it all here and have yet to not like anything I ordered. All cooked the way I asked it to be. The last visit I had Scrambled soft eggs and sausage, hash browns and toast. Was very good. Just note, this is a small place and the wait can... More

If you're looking for a non-chain restaurant for breakfast, check out Ernie's. I try to go before 930am on weekends to avoid a long wait. It's a small diner type of restaurant. You can't beat the prices. Bob Evans is my favorite breakfast in town but it's a chain so if you want some place local I would recommend Ernie's.

The service and food are very good at Ernie's in downtown Columbia. Unless you are VERY hungry, do not order the full biscuits/gravy; the half portion is four biscuits and loads of sausage gravy. My eggs were cooked to perfection. My spouse's waffle was reported to be outstanding, and he's rather a waffle snob. The tea is upscale, i.e., not... More

I had a good traditional breakfast, scrambled eggs, hash browns, bacon, and toast at Ernie's. The coffee could be better, but the food was good. My husband had French toast and it was made with Texas toast and had powdered sugar sprinkled on top (my favorite way to eat French toast) and they also gave him warm syrup, a nice... More

Had the omelette, and while the food was great, we enjoyed the help and the ambiance even more. They're open from 6:30am till 2 pm. Serves breakfast and lunch and we went about 9am on a Monday. Luckily a table was leaving as we got there but be aware it's very small and popular, so you might have to wait... More

We chose to have breakfast here because of the recommendations on TripAdvisor. Both of us chose five-ingredient omelets. The omelets were fat, fluffy, full of ingredients and delicious. There were no hash browns served with the meals and the only option we were offered was toast — white, wheat or rye. When we got into the door, all the tables were... More

If you are not a patient person, you should probably go someplace else. However, Ernie's breakfast is worth the wait. The food is just down right awesome!

Went at the recommendation of friends. Great breakfast, the #11 was what I had. Plate included a breakfast meat, eggs, hash browns and French toast. It was very delicious! The cafe is small, if it is cold outside don't sit near the front door.

I don't eat bacon. But try bacon at Ernie's and you won't regret that for sure! They were surprised I wanted my egg fried on both sides but I got what I wanted. Me and my friend had regular coffee refills, and our breakfast was DELICIOUS. The bacon was crunchy, and the French toasts were yummy!!! I'm not surprised we... More

We gave Ernies a shot recently after having not been for years. With a day off during the work week and beautiful Missouri weather we decided the "patio" downtown would be a great place to start a long weekend mini vacation. Unfortunatly Missouri weather didn't cooperate and it was pouring down rain so we ended up inside. In my oppinion... More
