Sunday Breakfast - breaks my fast, and how!

Went to this local haunt for a Sunday breakfast. If the weather is nice, snag a table outside. But, if not, you usually can find seating inside - seat yourself. I had their veggie sausage, two eggs, hashbrowns and toast (I think the #5). Try the sausage, you won't guess it's vegetarian and it's... read more

The service was very good, our coffee and tea were never empty. The food was average. Quaint diner atmosphere.

If you are in town and want a local place for breakfast is it. Great food with great prices. We sat outside which was nice.

Hit the spot with home cooking. Special #11 has a little of everything. Biscuits and gravy was also a favorite of our table. Coffee is warm but 'you only rent it'

Previously a very nice place to breakfast in columbia MO. Always packed and with a nice flair, something has changed in this place. After a very long time our order came back, and food was really not special, plain average. A service also on the downwards. Not going back...

We try to seek local eateries while traveling. Ernie's was just what the doctor ordered on our Friday morning in Columbia! My wife and I enjoyed a couple of eggs, toast, sausage & coffee for under ten bucks. Service was friendly & quick. Diner décor is really cool with lots of Dick Tracy memorabilia. Also cool (cold) is the table... More

if you're looking for diner food, especially breakfast, this is a good place to get food. it's not the flair or tastiness of Cafe Berlin a few blocks away, but it's the tried and true breakfast cafe. it's a plate of good scrambled eggs, bacon, toast and endless coffee. not many seats and when you find a seat, it's packed... We always visit Ernie's when we're in town. The Number 11 breakfast is my favorite - a ton of good food (2 eggs done your way, 2 meat, a pile of hashbrowns and a short stack or french toast) for a great price. It's a tiny place, so prepare to sit at the counter or wait for a table during... More

My downfall is cheeseburgers. I know a good one and the cheeseburger I had today at Ernies was awesome! I had a 1/3 pound cheese burger with Swiss cheese and bacon on a soft bun with fries today that was worth every calorie! The cheese burger came with a side of bbq sauce which was also nice. The burger and... More
