Description: Gold Medal winner for Best Overall Restaurant the last six years, Inside...
Gold Medal winner for Best Overall Restaurant the last six years, Inside Columbia Magazine Best of Columbia readers poll! Flat Branch Pub & Brewing opened its doors on April 18, 1994 in historic downtown Columbia Missouri. The pub gets its name from a nearby creek which was the water source for Columbia's first settlers. Flat Branch was Columbia's first brewery since 1841. The pub occupies a 1927 brick warehouse with a curved, barrel-trussed roof that was once a Hudson car dealership. We offer a diverse menu as well as award-winning hand-crafted beers on tap. Enjoy your stay in the upscale industrial setting of our restaurant, on our spacious outdoor patio, or belly up to Columbia's largest bar. Our fresh handmade food compliments our brews while still being delicious enough to stand on its own. Try traditional pub favorites like Catfish and Chips or Bratwurst and Kraut, or perhaps our signature Charbroiled Romaine Salad. Enjoy your meal with our in-house baked breads and desserts. After dinner, sip one of our many single malt scotches or small batch bourbons may be just the thing to wrap up an excellent evening. The managers and staff at Flat Branch Pub & Brewing are committed to providing the best food, beer, service and value in the Midwest.

Good dinner and service

I had the pork burrito and it was very good. The pork was flavorful and well seasoned. The sweet potato chips were really good, too. Our server was very efficient, and knew then menu well enough to give thoughtful recommendations on the various items.

We were a group of 7 and had about a 30 minute wait on a Thursday evening. We were wise enough to put our name on both the inside and outside waiting lists. Luckily for us we got called for outside seating first which is what we really wanted. Food was good. Served hot with all items served at the... More

Was in town for work and tried this place. The hearts & chocks dip was very good. The bread was made in house and was really good.

Was in town for business at MU and came to taste the food during a business lunch. Had a burger and fries, which were both above average. We asked to do a feature story on the place for our work and they happily obliged. Kyle the assistant brewmaster was very friendly and gave us wonderful information and quotes for our... More

On Friday night, my family and I visited Flat Branch Pub & Brewing. The restaurant made a good first impression with its cool decor and clean overview. The service was good, and our server was really helpful. I ended up choosing the pepperoni pizza with their specialty root beer to drink. The Pizzas are 10 by 12 inches, with 8... More

I've never been really impressed with any of the food I've had here (I've been there several times because friends and family love it for some reason), but I do really like their bloody marys and their brewery beers. The pizza is good. The salads are weird. The sandwiches are average.

A brew pub is about beer- right? Well- this establishment has made a big investment in getting the food right. Everything we had- a salad, a pizza and a sandwich were really excellent. Many brews to choose from- on a sampler i had a nice red ale and a strange green chile beer. That one did not work.

Had a great meal after a 10 minute wait. You know it is good when you have a wait on a Tuesday night. I have the smoked salmon pasta with a brown ale. Fantastic. It was pretty load but had a great atmosphere.

This is a great place to grab dinner at if you're not a student. OR a great place to take the family to when they're visiting. Good food and they also have their own brewed beer
