Gold Medal winner for Best Overall Restaurant the last six years, Inside Columbia Magazine Best of Columbia readers poll! Flat Branch Pub & Brewing opened its doors on April 18, 1994 in historic downtown Columbia Missouri. The pub gets its name from a nearby creek which was the water source for Columbia's first settlers. Flat Branch was Columbia's first brewery since 1841. The pub occupies a 1927 brick warehouse with a curved, barrel-trussed roof that was once a Hudson car dealership. We offer a diverse menu as well as award-winning hand-crafted beers on tap. Enjoy your stay in the upscale industrial setting of our restaurant, on our spacious outdoor patio, or belly up to Columbia's largest bar. Our fresh handmade food compliments our brews while still being delicious enough to stand on its own. Try traditional pub favorites like Catfish and Chips or Bratwurst and Kraut, or perhaps our signature Charbroiled Romaine Salad. Enjoy your meal with our in-house baked breads and desserts. After dinner, sip one of our many single malt scotches or small batch bourbons may be just the thing to wrap up an excellent evening. The managers and staff at Flat Branch Pub & Brewing are committed to providing the best food, beer, service and value in the Midwest.

Great food and atmosphere

I eat here for lunch regularly and it is usually full. Dinner is always a wait. Have never had anything I didn't like. Burgers, pulled pork, philly cheese steak, always great. A coworker is vegetarian and she likes a couple of different options here. They make their own red Cream Soda. If you... read more

The wait is always long. The food is always good. It was FREEZING in the restaurant and I was not the only one miserable. I looked around and all of the women and children were holding their arms and chilled. I asked three different people if it was possible to turn the fans that were on full power off or... More

This is an excellent restaurant to sit on the patio and enjoy a meal. Great food, good service, but know there is usually a wait for the patio.

I enjoyed the vanilla beer (made in-house) and the ribs were well prepared. The salmon was a bit undercooked, but the server was able to quickly make things right. In all, the staff was able to handle the busy graduation weekend very efficiently.

We enjoyed the onion rings and peach & pork belly pizza for an appetizer. Then we enjoyed great drinks and meals. It was hard to hear each other because it was very loud- bad acoustics. The menu looked appetizing but I feel like they weren't executing the food well. The ingredients were on par but the preparation could have been... More

The food is good, but nothing special, but the place is amazing, you can spend a lot of hours in the outside terrace enjoying a good conversation if the weather is nice!

They have a good selection of beer and your typical bar food with some higer end items as well. Good for family or just adults. Excellant patio if it is not full. Very busy on Fridays.

Separate seating waitlists for inside and outside. Tried the green chili beer- you need to like jalapeños to drink it. Had the pork chop with mango and applesauce and was very good. Also chicken and avocado sandwich with sweet potato chips. Try a pretzel with spinach dip for an appetizer - yummy

Trendy brew pub with a decent selection of brews. The wife and I tried the stout, pale ale, wit and IPA. My favorite was the IPA and my wife loved the wit. We ordered an artichoke dip that was excellent.
