We arrived before our reserved time and had a cocktail at the bar. The bar staff was in no rush to help us, but when they did, the selection was great and the staff was friendly. We had to ask about our table when our reservation time arrived and it was ready shortly, but it seemed like we were only... More

Room 38 is one of my absolute favorite restaurants. The price point is excellent, you can easily eat a lighter yet filling meal for $8 to $12, or you can splurge and enjoy a wonderful heavier course. They offer a very diverse menu, as well as cater well for gluten free options. They have an excellent wine selection, with a... More

Ate here on a home game weekend when it was difficult to find a table for the group of 10 elsewhere. Found it to be a better bar than restaurant, indeed the very layout of the place (including the very dark interior) speaks to more of a drinking than a food crowd. Seats/table were cramped and uncomfortable, featuring a combination... More

I will recommend this restaurant to anyone. The waitress recommended certain dishes and everything was amazing. We ate the honey wings to start off the meal. They are a good balance between sauce and chicken flavor. For our meals we ordered the prime rib sandwich and the surf and turf. My wife and I split the sandwiches. I las recommend... More

Fun place for drinks and late night in Columbia. They do a nice job here. Worth a late night visit to Room 38 after dinner in the district.

First impression....very dark. Staff very friendly and made good recommendations about food. Menu is varied includes tapas, small plates, and sandwiches as advertised. Music calm came in around 8pm on Monday. Very few others in establishment. Good for sports watching with three televisions. Extensive and interesting drink menu. Would definitely try for happy hour.

Dropped in Friday night - definitely heavy university student clientele, active, noisy - but not to a detraction, and overall positive atmosphere; staff extremely attentive and took care of us - had a short wait despite reservations and the staff called to warn us before our arrival time. Eclectic menu - we had 4 tapas style selections: salmon skewers, arancini,... More

We stopped by to try the tapas. For the most part very good experience. GREAT Filet Mignon sandwich and we REALLY liked the Chocolate Fondue dessert. HOWEVER, this cant be bypassed; the "lobster" Mac and Cheese did not contain lobster...it had (K)rab...or more commonly known as Pollock bait fish. FOR GOD SAKE...don't advertise lobster and serve this! Anyone who ever... More

In a town full of dirty college bars, this place seemed to cater to a more upscale crowd. The food is unique and good. We really had a great time.

The food was very very good and served so attractively. It's quiet enough to talk in there while having dinner which is unique in this day and age. Service was excellent! Hope to go there many more times!
