Lovely

We had the scallops for an app and they were very good. The best part of the meal was the filet which was cooked perfect and had this amazing creamy sauce on it. For a fine dining restaurant everything is priced right.

We went to Sophia's Saturday evening, December 19, to celebrate our son's receiving his Ph.D. Sophia's is a lovely dining venue with a very attentive wait staff. Some in our party had Tomato Basil Mahi Mahi, others had Ravioli Arogasta. I had the Baked Shrimp and Roma Angel Hair. All were spectacular. I would have rated Sophia's as excellent except... More

One of the nice things the wife and I do on anniversaries is that we try out a new restaurant. Sophia's was third on our list (one was closed, two was too expensive), so we made a reservation and headed out mid-afternoon. The restaurant is typical of the current style bar-cum-restaurant, with an patio courtyard area (obviously closed on a... More

Good atmosphere, great food, great service. Our waitress was very professional and helpful. The nacho app was very good. My wife loved the braised romaine. I had a strip steak with shrimp and lobster topping that was cooked perfectly and very good. Others had pasta that they loved. Reasonable wine list. A great place for a couples dinner.

Sophia's is in a stand-alone building in the middle of a random assembly of various commercial buildings, and does not appear very impressive (especially with the incomplete landscaping project in front). Nonetheless, it is a very nice restaurant. The menu is eclectic, primarily Italian, but with some Spanish and North African additions. I enjoyed a large salad and two tapas... More

Very nice restaurant in Columbia with very good Italian food. We were surprised as it was unexpected and it is in a small shopping center. Really good service and tho crowded it was not noisy. Worth it.

The food is always delicious! I recommend the filet Porto and the mushroom sauce appetizer. The staff is very kind and attentive, but not pushy. Our dinner was timed perfectly. During dinner my partner's blood suger became low as she is a diabetic. They whole staff was very accommodating when we had to leave in a hurry! To say I... More

During a big family brunch, the vegetarians asked for changes to the standard brunch menu. No problem. Instead of bacon we were served fresh strawberries and raspberries or fresh veggies. My indulgent cousins ordered something called Monkey Bread, which turned out to be a huge, irresistible cinnamon-scented pastry. I also had lunch here and loved the pumpkin creme brulee. It... More

We recently had dinner here and were pleased with the excellent service. Sophia's has a pleasant atmosphere and a nice menu. My daughter had the Brandy Cream Filet and my husband raved about the Chicken Mudega that he chose. I had the Horseradish Encrusted Salmon with asparagus and we all enjoyed our meals and appreciated the prompt and friendly service.
