A great wine dinner

We went to a nice wine dinner at Oceano in Clayton, more for the great-sounding seafood that was concocted as accompaniments than for the Terra d'Ora California wines. Everything was well organized and we had great little table in a raised area. Our server was with us throughout the night and... read more

In town, visiting a new client in the Clayton area and decided to drive back for dinner. Based on Trip Advisor I stopped in to Oceano. Nice choice, not as expensive as I thought from the info shown. If you want fish, go here.

This is where you want to go for seafood in Saint Louis. The food, service, and atmosphere are phenomenal. We were there during restaurant week in January. We will be back again and again.

Great experience. Went with another couple to a wine pairing dinner. Food was excellent, service was great. Would definitely return. Seafood was cooked to perfection.

We had a wonderful evening there with a terrific waiter, Ed. He made sure my sensitivity to garlic was handled, by making great recommendations. The food was prepared beautifully.

Oceano has become our go-to spot for seafood (they have some very nice landlubber menu items, too). Ultra-fresh and nearly-perfect seafood in the Midwest? How 'bout that! I almost always order the blackened big eye tuna starter, where thin sheets of sashimi-grade tuna are delicately seared, then wrapped around salad bites with a wonderful ginger-radish kick; fantastic! An especially bright... More

We stopped in for a late lunch on a Sunday and got one of the best in St. Louis. We live 3 hours away, but come to StL very often. From the moment we walked in, the service, atmosphere, and food was incredible! We were seated immediately and our waitress was awesome. She explained everything to us, this being our... More

relaxed place for (after)-business dinner/conversation, though not-so-relaxed prices -- nice variety of well-prepared seafood, good selection of wines by the glass, helpful and friendly staff

I'm from the east coast and didn't expect to find well prepared fresh seafood in a small town in Missouri 1,000 miles from the ocean, but Oceano Bistro has figured out how to do it. All three of the dishes we ordered were delicious---. The seared scallops served over grilled portabella mushrooms in a tasty citrus sauce; the grilled Branzino... More
