Christmas Eve dinner to die for!

Every morsel was perfection with outstanding service. We raved so much the chef appeared to talk with us about European travels and Michelin star meals abroad. BEST mushroom soup in the world!

Dear Kaningryta Thank you for taking the time to share a review of your Christmas Eve Dinner experience. We are honored to have Chef Faure as part of The Ritz-Carlton, St. Louis culinary team and to have the opportunity to showcase his talents in The Grill restaurant at the hotel. We agree that the mushroom soup was something special and... More

The decor, food and service is everything you would expect from a Ritz Carlton. And much more reasonably priced than the equivalent here in Los Angeles. The crowd was mixed (young families, older couples dressed in their Sunday finest, and many regular customers whom the staff knew by name). Just lovely!

Had Sunday brunch here after a wonderful Saturday night anniversary stay. Fantastic Sunday brunch was included in our room price (normally $21/person). I was full enough after visiting to not eat lunch or dinner agin until 6:00pm. Good stuff!

The food was all very good, as you'd expect from the price tag (expect about $100/per person, if you get wine/cocktails), though the menu descriptions could be clearer in several cases. We went on a Wednesday evening and there was only one other group of two there and our server seemed flustered to be serving group of 7, forgetting things... More

The meal was phenomenal. From the bread with infused olive oils, to the appetizer, entree, and dessert. We enjoyed every bite. The service was excellent. The atmosphere is good, but not great. We had no issues of stale cigar smoke, and we are sensitive to smells.

Walking in to The Grill at the Ritz was very surprising. The first thing you noticed was the strong smell of cigar smoke from the cigar lounge next door. Then you noticed the dingy atmosphere. Hard to believe you were in a Ritz hotel. Their standards are lacking here. The food was actually very good and our waitress was lovely.... More

Dear Sharon R, Thank you for taking a moment to review your recent experience in The Grill. I apologize that the experience was negatively impacted by the smell of cigar. An urban infusion; seasonal elements, simply crafted, perfectly grilled is the description that draws one in. These weary travelers were not disappointed. Filet grilled and served on hot salt block; truffle oil for a lovely potato soup; beer can chicken and a server that anticipated everything. The chef came out and asked if we were happy. We were and he... More
