Very good bbq

Visited for dinner and was very good. Selected the 3 meats turkey, pulled pork and brisket. Served with three different sauce options. Side was Mac and cheese but it wasn't that good. Service was decent and chewy caramel desert was ok but would order chocolate cake next time.

We are staying down the street for a swim meet this weekend. The bellman suggested we come down to J Bucks. Glad he recommended it. The menu was big. Food was very delicious and reasonably priced. We all had flatbreads/pizza and they were all good. I would also recommend the popcorn shrimp. The atmosphere was very nice and our waitress... More

Went with group of 10 people, we had one of the rooms there. The wait staff was terrible. after 45 minutes, 1 of our group had not received their first drink. The french onion soup was congealed. i'm serious. One ordered a caesar salad. when it arrived, he thought the lettuce had been grilled.... no... it was that brown. Another... More

Great place to eat if you are staying at the Crowne Plaza hotel. It had great pasta and drinks. We had a party of over 40 and they were very accommodating.

The food at J Bucks is always good. They have a great Happy hour special. What keeps me coming back is Allyssa and Quentin's professional and personal attention. This is not zone coverage--no they go one on one and keep moving up and down the bar like NBA all stars. I love coming to j bucks and try to stop... More

Was looking for BBQ when visiting St Louis and this place did not disappoint! Great spread of food and amazing sides. Drinks menu is equally as good. Decor and seating is excellent would highly recommend.

J. Buck's was a disappointment for us. We use Clayton Restaurant Week to try new places, and thought they were worth a try as an old established place. My husband had heard negative reviews, but for $25/person why not. The food was uninspired, my filet was literally just put on the grill with no apparent seasonings, although it was a... More

This restaurant is owned by the Buck family, of broadcasting fame. It is well-located, in Clayton. You can park on the street or in a designated parking area, which is nice. The building is very nice and the restaurant is very impressive. Though I attended with family, it seems perfect for a romantic dinner. All 5 of us enjoyed our... More

Although I’ve never been disappointed, I’ve also never been wowed by the food here. Pros: --It’s convenient to several condos and corporate offices --The service is good --The prices are average or perhaps only slightly above --It's open late night during the week (one of the few places to do so in the area) No Cons; just don’t expect anything... Stopped here for dinner and drinks. Enjoyed sitting outside on the patio. Our waiter was fantastic and so was the food. I'd highly recommend the toasted ravioli and the BBQ pork salad.
