Going on a Saturday night, expect to wait a very long time since they do not take reservations. After waiting about an hour, I asked if we could sit at the counter. This actually was really fun watching the chefs prepare all of the pasta dishes in a mad symphony. I definitely recommend the kale Caesar salad and the pappardelle... More

I ate lunch here after hearing good reviews. The price was expensive, even for Clayton. Lunch for two approached 50.00, no drinks. Ambience was noisy--definitely could see a large party being able to hear each other. The food was good and the pasta was fresh. The service was average, the wait staff were very busy talking to regular customers. I

I know everyone raves about this place, and chef/owner Gerard Craft has a stellar reputation, but this place just doesn't 'click' with me. The food itself is admittedly very good, but I just can't stand the space. PLEASE restaurant owners - shy away from the recent trend of communal tables. Perhaps you can wedge more bodies into your restaurant this... More

If you're looking for an amazing dining experience, stop here, and mapquest or googlemap to Pastaria. We found the restaurant through Trip Advisor and went on a Wednesday night. They were busy, but we got to sit at the pass and watch all the fun in the kitchen. First, let me tell you why sitting at the pass is awesome... More

On a tuesday night at 6.30pm, pastaria was pretty quiet and we got seated right away. But pretty quickly the place filled up and all tables were busy by 7pm. We tried two pasta dishes and one pizza and all were very well done with quality ingredients, perfect balance ( just a tiny bit too much salt in one pasta... More

Ate at this restaurant for the first time last week, loved it, really interesting twists on Italian food. The pizza was awesome and the pepper pasta was to die for. The service was great. The kids had a great time sampling all of the gelato. I would highly recommend pastaria for anyone looking for a neat evening of good food.

I visited this Clayton restaurant a few days ago and the whole experience was fabulous and the food was delicious. The pastas, pappardelle, pistachio ravioli and garganelli with braised beef were superb and also the desserts were good. Service was friendly and excellent. We will visit again in near future to enjoy the delicious pastas. Prices were very adequate.

I admit it. I'm a big city food snob. When a client suggested we meet for dinner at Pastaria in Clayton Missouri (Saint Louis suburb), I gritted my teeth and politely said yes. Before I went, I checked it out on Yelp and was prepared for mediocre bland concept food in a noisy environment. I arrived early and was greeted... More

Warm fresh baked bread, homemade pasta made fresh right in the front window, and a good selection of wines. The restaurant was busy every night. There is a reason for that. The food is good and the prices quite reasonable.
