Drinks were good. Waitress was friendly. Large crowds due to the Clayton Art Fair. The spinach artichoke appetizer was good if you like spinach, not a lot of flavor from the artichoke. Bread and chips were good.

I really am quite obsessed with their salmon salad. I go there to get it frequently. I can't speak to any other items personally, but other people I have dined with always enjoy their meals. They have a few nice tables on the sidewalk and the bar is a great place to catch a game.

We were in Clayton overnight looking for a place close to our hotel. Barristers was close and a nice place for a casual dinner. They have a decent selection of craft beers and good appetizers; we really liked the baked goat cheese. The beer cheese soup was very spicy, not my favorite, but the rest of our meals were very... Its hard to call this a dive bar, but for Clayton, it kind of is... they really have great food though. Not your average bar food, it's all a step above.

I've had Sunday brunch here many times, but today was just awful. Three of us ordered eggs benedict (2 w/crab cakes and one traditional), and my husband had a ham and cheese omelet. It took at least 25 minutes for our meals to arrive, and our coffee wasn't refilled in the meantime. The benedicts all came out with completely solid... More

When you first enter Barrister's you may be a little taken aback. Basically, it's kind of a pub/tavern environment and not particularly well appointed for a dinner date. However, it's comfortable and not at all pretentious. The real surprise is the excellent quality of the food. Don't expect "cuisine", but really excellent bar food and then some. One of our... More

My husband and I just happened upon Barrister's. We were looking for somewhere different to eat breakfast, not just a chain restaurant. We received excellent service with a wonderful breakfast. Barrister's has a great selection for breakfast and many of the other patrons took advantage of what looked like a great bloody Mary bar.
