Pilot House is a local favorite. My wife and I stopped by for lunch and it was amazing. Don't let the looks of the place turn you off. The second you open the door you're greeted by the most wonderful smell of REAL barbecue. Find a seat and prepare yourself for some great food.

We love the Pilot House, especially if you go early..avoiding the smoking crowd! The bar atmosphere along with great food is a popular place for the locals but it's small inside and the cigarette smoke is a big deterrent for more regular visits. Carry out is ok but it's much better while there and hot. Try twice baked potato (the... More

From burgers and fries to kabobs and twined baked potatoes - awesome! Perfect bar and grill. A little small, a little crowded, a little smoky, a little noisy but always a good time. Beer is always cold!

Love this place!! They have some of the best food u can get in cape. All kinds of great sandwiches the Sweet & Special BBQ is my favorite. If u have never been it's off the beaten path and small but that is the charm of the place.

Lunch is great, recommend the prime rib sandwich. The weekend menu specials are amazing, kabobs are huge! Famous for their twice baked potatoes and hot bacon salad dressing. They need to have this place on the food network. Only downside is its a smoke filled bar.

Busy, crowded and sometimes smokey. Recently went there after being out of Missouri for two years. Fried catfish is delicious, cole slaw is fresh (we had vinegar based), also had beef BBQ brisket. If you like a fresh salad with lots of vegetables, have the salad with house warm bacon dressing; we had salad split for two, delicious. Wonderful local... More

We had a party of 7 after a day hunting doves. The ambience was perfect for us but a bit basic for several of our wives we thought. (Though they weren't there.). The food was typical southern BBQ and very good. Meaty ribs done just right and pulled pork as good as I have eaten. The sauce was excellent, both... More

What's good on the menu? Everything! We eat here all the time and the food and service is great. It doesn't look like much but it's one of the best restaurants in SE Missouri. Just be warned you will smell like smoke when you leave but it's worth it.

We love the Pilot House...great food & great drinks. The fried catfish is the best you will find in Southeast Missouri. The restaurant is always smoky, but the food is so worth it!

If you don't want to smell like a kitchen when you leave, stay away - but the food is awesome, service great - always a treat!
