If you're wanting real New Orleans food, you better keep driving on I-55 to New Orleans because you're not going to get it here. The food here was decent, but it was far from excellent, at least on the day we visited based on what we had. My catfish was certainly okay but it wasn't great, and given the prices,... More

Food was excellently prepared, atmosphere was warm and inviting. Our server Abbie was attentive and gave excellent suggestions. Portions sizes were large, had enough to take home. Drinks were delicious!

I had not been to Broussards for several years. It was clean and our waitress was polite and prompt. The restaurant/bar smells like cigarette smoke. The food came out hot but the taste was only fair, Gumbo had too much roux, and it was hard to find any sea food. Red beans and rice not as tasty as true Southern... More

My husband and I ate here 7/12/14. The food portions are huge, we couldn't eat anywhere near all of it! We had the gator appetizer, delicious! And we both had the pick 2 - shrimp etouffee with red beans and rice and seafood gumbo. We should have shared! We each got a salad and bread basket as well. Food taste... More

This is my second visit. Came with 14 yr old after a day of shopping and driving hour and half. I enjoy receiving the coupons through their points program. If I lived closer, I would come more often. I enjoy the downtown of Cape on a Saturday evening. So many good smells, sights and sounds. Waitress has been great both... More

It's a small diner, still has a small smoking section near the bar if you smoke. Quiet place, no loud rumble of other people's conversations. Weekends after 7 expect a short wait of around 20-30 minutes. Food is superb. I've had nothing that hasn't tasted excellent, and the menu allows for people to eat Cajun (which is truly good food)... We were at Brossards last Saturday celebrating our 2nd Anniversity. We had a fabulous lunch and plan to go back again this weekend.

Tom Neumeyer, our host at Neumeyer's B&B suggested several restaurants, and we chose Broussards. We each ordered a Cajun Fried Platter that included catfish, shrimp, frogs legs, clams, jambalaya, and some things I'm not sure of ;-). It was way more food than we could eat, but we tried! I hadn't had frogs legs for about 60 years, and as... More

Food was a nice change from the chain places. Waitress was attentive & the tea glasses were big. Family loved walking to the Mississippi waterfront while walking back to the truck.
