Great lunch, great staff

We stopped here for a quick lunch while passing through Cape Garardeau. We had the red beans and rice and the shrimp etouffee. Both were very good. The price was very reasonable and the service quick.

If you've eaten in a true NOLA dive bar/restaurant then you won't be disappointed at Broussards. The food is good but the surroundings are...well...divey. Don't expect fine linens and crystal. Do expect great food and good prices.

I absolutely love the food here. From the wonderful red beans and rice to the étouffée. We order fried alligator and it is as good as anything I ever had in Florida or Louisiana. My favorite étouffée is the alligator or crawfish. The food is very spicy (it is Cajun) and the portions are large. I eat here every chance... More

When we first arrived there wasnt anyone up near the front. We seated ourselves and finally a young woman came over with menus. She was pleasant but smelled of cigarettes and perfume it pretty much took your appetite away. We asked for a few more moments. My Mother and 14 year old daughter left to go to the restroom and... As always, spot on. The most classic of dives typically have some great eats, and this is no exception. Of all the things we miss from the region, this is the #1 place - food or otherwise. Can't go wrong with the crawfish etouffee or a catfish poboy. Gumbo is also a favorite. Always ask for the house dressing, too... More

Being a Yankee from Minnesota this was a nice surprise. Liked the pecan beer from Mississippi. The red beans and rice was good. Liked the boudin links appetizers. Shrimp and crabmeat gumbo bowl got cleaned out/wiped up with bread didn't leave any for the dishwasher good

We were traveling from Memphis to Missouri and this was on our way. Our service was good, the food was decent and the atmosphere seemed good. They have a kids menu and coloring sheet for kids. I would stop again.

Food is excellent and portions are large. This is one of our favorite places to eat. Love their house salad dressing

Looks like nothing from the outside, but inside is a Cajun fairytale !! The smell of the spices was great. Good food and fun atmosphere !! Highly recommend !!
