Mel's Hard Luck Diner is an interesting venue, in that all the servers take time to sing during your visit. It is a fun concept, however, if you are looking for "fine dining" this is not the place. It is regular diner food, good prices, and friendly staff.

There were six of us in our party. We all ordered different items and they were all good. The serve staff sing old time songs which was a nice touch. Only complaint is the place is kept as cold as a refrigerator. We couldn't wait to finish eating and get outdoors where it was a comfortable 70F.

If this right place, in a shopping area walking distance of Radisson Hotel of Branson! Came here for a breakfast! Hey with the tour group, hotel gave Vouchers for Breakfasts, but in my mind, I in a Handicapped Room! If not included for regular guests not on a Tour Group, so one time instead use voucher, walk to this shopping... More

During our recent visit to Mel's, we stopped in for dinner before our show. What a great find!!!! The menu was great with fun & interesting titles to their dishes and we all enjoyed everything we ordered. The wait-stuff was superb; especially as each sang great songs and all had fantastic voices. Everyone was clapping or moving to beat; and... More

My wife worked there and all the waiters and waitresses sang here - so she was the "Yodeler". We met under these conditions when she fixed me the biggest and BEST hot-fudge sundae and a "Polly-Wally Doodle Shake". From that day on I experienced the best singers - all of who should be discovered. She was - by me and... More

I have been at Mel's and the owners response to a review was outrageous and not very professional. I won't return either

Please tell me which response you refer to as perhaps you misunderstood or I misunderstood. My intentions certainly were not to have been outrageous. We are people here who enjoy what we do and our goal everyday is to share the fun of the diner wtih all our guests. Mel More

We went to the Mel's Diner. Loved the old fashioned 50's style diner. . We had huge cheeseburger, fries & milk shake. Food was very good. Loved the singing waiters & waitress. We enjoyed it very much, we would go back anytime we are back in Branson.
