Dinner and a Song!

Great family fun place. Good old fashion diner type foods. Great desserts and waiter and waitresses that are talented singers all add up for a great time at Mel's. I'd reccomend it as a must for anyone visitin Branson!

All of the waiters were amazing singers and would interact with the crowd and the food was awesome. The whole restaurant has this cool old timey feeling and it makes you feel like you're actually in the past.

Mel's Hard Luck Diner is located on the Branson "strip" in Missouri. It is a cutely decorated place that resembles a diner from the 1950s. We dined at Mel's for lunch on two occasions. Food was good and service was great. Restaurant and washrooms were very clean. Mel's is known for their singing waiters and waitresses and boy can they... More

What a great experience we had. Singing waiters and waitresses, great food and great atmosphere. One of our friends ordered a banana split and we almost died laughing when he got it. It was the largest banana split that we had ever seen. It had to be at least a half gallon of ice cream on top of a banana... More

A unique dining experience in which all waiters and waitresses sing in the dining room. The menu had good variety and the food was excellent. Our waiter was Matt and he not only served us well , he entertained the entire restaurant with a modern version of "Amazing Grace". He was formerly a cast member at the Shoji Tabuchi Theater,... It is always enjoyable to dine at the Hard Luck Café in Branson, Mo. We always bring visitors with us because the food is terrific and the entertainment is outstanding that a waiter or waitress can be your server and sing great music. Great time.

Great food great singing! The gospel girl-excellent! You can even buy their CDs. The personal touch makes the difference. We've been there half a dozen times and never been disappointed.

We went to Mel;s for the unique dining experience. For those of you from IL, it reminds me of Ed Debevics without the sarcastic waitstaff. The decor is perfect. Two of the three singers were fantastic. At the risk of causing the manger to write a nasty reply, the food was just okay. It was pricey but not tasty. If... More
