Although the menu and specials don't seem to change much what is on offer is good and well presented although more expensive compared to other local Inns. The service is good and the building is well maintained.

Having eaten here for many years and having held a previous dinner party,we had no hesitation in using this venue for a special meal. As usual, the food was excellent and the staff very attentive. All our requests were taken care of and our 21 guests were delighted and,of course so were we. The fact that we were able to have the... We recently entrusted Richard and his team with our Wedding reception. It was a family gathering wiht just eighteen people. The quality of the food was first class, as was the professionalism and friendliness of the service we received. We strongly recommend the Cross Keys to anyone looking for a quality meal in a delightful location.

We came out for a family meal on Sunday after being recommended by a friend. It was our first time here and I have to say the food was superb, more than plenty to satisfy two very hungry children and a husband! We will definitely be returning soon. Thank you very much!

My husband and I decided to try the Cross Keys after hearing good things about it. We picked a Sunday evening as we thought it would be quieter and we were right! Food is home cooked and of good quality. We both chose a roast meal as it was a Sunday. The portions of meat were great, 3 large slices... More

Had a fantastic meal Tuesday 26th August for birthday. Ate in restaurant and the service was also excellent. The starters were amazing and we both ordered fillet steaks which were cooked to our liking and served with separate veg....We could not manage a dessert but did order coffees to finish a fab meal and sent our compliments to the chef.... We read that it had been having some issues, so with a impending visit from the family & it being nice & handy thought we had better check it out. Pleased to say it was a great meal, new chef I believe with an updated menu (at last). the place was quite packed, something I had not seen on a... More

Was recommended this pub for lunch - we ate in the 'bar', which was only slightly more casual than the restaurant. The service was wonderful - professional and friendly, and the food was marvellous - roast beef, roast lamb with depth of flavour and a tasty range of vegetables, braised beef, and a steak pie to satisfy my teenage son.... You can always be sure of a decent meal, well presented and served. The staff are generally excellent but management has ideas in excess of the abilities of a fairly ordinary country pub. This is reflected in the prices.

Looking for somewhere to eat when travelling and a place that we remembered as being good in Ingham, near Lincoln (the Black Horse), no longer serves food. The Dambusters in Scampton was over - flowing as it was village carnival time and a nearby pub had a busy beer festival. A nice lady in Scampton recommended the Cross Keys. Driving... More
