Lunch with Daughter

All staff very attentive. A bit of a wait but as I had ordered sirloin steak expected that. They were very busy, a good sign. All extras came as standard in small bowls so if you didn't want to add them you had a choice. Steak cooked just as I asked. Daughter had a chicken burger without bun also... read more

Had a lovely lunch at the coach and horses. Service is polite and efficient and food is of a good quality and good sized portions Also, I took part in the Starlight Walk (half marathon late night charity walk) and the staff from the Coach and Horses were outside in the rain offering tea, it was most welcome, thank you... My parents came for lunch last Friday. We wanted to go somewhere that had a garden with a play area for my three year old. The Coach and Horses did not disappoint, the play area was fantastic and what made our lunch even better was the relaxed BBQ in the garden. We all really enjoyed our food, I had the... More

Sadly, the management have decided to abandon Tastecard which is great shame. I am usually a huge fan of this pub ,well run by Aash the manager..but my last visit on Fathers Day was a big disappointment. We arrived early thinking the place would be busy..it was very quiet. We sat outside but had to wait until noon before anyone came... More

I decided to arrange my friends 40th at the Coach and Horses due to its lovely location and good out doors area for kids. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly They helped set up the area, balloons, decorations and cake. Once friends with children had left we went inside where we had a lovely reserved area for... More

Such a shame that this pub doesn't do simple but good food. There is obviously a problem with the kitchen and it can't cope with large numbers. The atmosphere is good, the decor is lovely, staff are excellent so why are they not cooking to the same standard? If I owned this pub, I would seriously look at changing things.... More

this has been a part of my life in Croxley for many years, I come here now and again, it's always good. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the food is good, it's nothing out of the ordinary but it's always very nice food . The actual room the main restaurant is in I feel needs extending as... My friend and I went here for lunch on a Tuesday afternoon. The pub itself has a lot of character with lots of nooks and crannys. It is set on The Green in Croxley which makes it feel as if it is a country pub. We thought there was a good choice of food at a reasonable price. We both... More

My wife and I visted this pub for Sunday lunch for the last two weeks, once for a family gathering and the second time just the two of us. The staff were very friendly and attentive and we felt looked after on both occasions. The food was good, especially the roast Sunday lunch and according to my wife the halloumi... More

Called for light lunch with a friend. Wasn't busy, we were shown to a table and drinks orders taken. He then came back to take food order, which was nice not having to go up to bar to order. I had the Scotch Egg, starter/light. Very nice. Ample for me, would have been too much for a starter. My friend... More
