Gone downhill as a gastro type restaurant, but a good pub.

Used to be a great place to eat. Had dinner there as a 4 on Saturday night and although initially they were not busy, service was average at best. Menu limited plus lacking any specials of note and i dont get sharing platters on a main menu. Create a bar menu for these and something better in the... read more

An impromptu afternoon catch up with my mum led us to drop into this venue that she had not visited in 35 years! At first we sat in the relaxing bar and were happy with a glass of wine and some absolutely delicious whitebait served by our lovely waitress Kirsty. We then decided to stay for a late afternoon roast... More

The greeting was warm and friendly and I immediately felt at home. My friends and I were after a table for the four of us and we had not booked. The Irish gentleman that served us was so helpful and found space to accommodate us with ease, even whilst it was busy. The drinks were a little pricy but with... More

Having been previously and recommended the place to others for a good meal with children, unfortunately, I couldn't do either again. I had a complaint about the meal. The manager maintains the menu has changed and the quality has improved. He then sent an "executive chef" to talk to me about his purchasing choices to defend the minimal portion size.... More

The menu offers a variety of tasty dishes, 3 courses if you are hungry. Wednesday night is quiz night so be prepared for quite a lot of noise which is disappointing as there is a very comfortable dining area at the rear of the pub which is ideal for relaxing, enjoying the company you are with and catching up -... All staff very attentive. A bit of a wait but as I had ordered sirloin steak expected that. They were very busy, a good sign. All extras came as standard in small bowls so if you didn't want to add them you had a choice. Steak cooked just as I asked. Daughter had a chicken burger without bun also cooked... More

My parents came for lunch last Friday. We wanted to go somewhere that had a garden with a play area for my three year old. The Coach and Horses did not disappoint, the play area was fantastic and what made our lunch even better was the relaxed BBQ in the garden. We all really enjoyed our food, I had the... More
