This one of the best "Australian" Thai meals I have been served.

This is the second time we have eaten here and returned because of the excellent food and service we experienced the first time. As in Australia the ingredients are different to Thailand so there is a difference in flavour.to the local food. The meals are just as enjoyable at Bai Yok and tasty. The... read more

I have dined at Bai Yok countless times over the past several years with both family and friends. Every time it has been incredible. The food is delicious, well presented and intricately balanced between the traditional and more modern interpretation of Thai flavours and presentation. The service is always great and the restaurant opens early in the evening making it... More

My husband is coeliac and needs to eat gluten free. Almost all Thai restaurants serve their curries gluten free. This restaurant flatly refuses to serve gluten free curries. They will provide a very limited menu providing options for people needing to eat gluten free, but it leaves those people feeling like second class citizens.

My Husband and I meet friends for dinner on Tuesday 23 December 2015. We had never been to this restaurant before but our friends said it was wonderful. We had two chicken dishes, plus two different beef dishes, 2 boiled rices, and one serving of vegetable spring rolls - one each. The spring rolls cost $8, the different dishes cost... More

This has become my personal favourite Thai in 2015. Its in the lower North Shore so definitely not trendy but the food and service is fantastic. Can get noisy in the back so ask for a table outside or near the front. They have another restaurant in mosman Thai Nine but the food is no where near as good.

Like other reviews, the seared spicy scallops in betel leaf (miangs) is totally delicious, frsh and healthy. The pad See Ew, spicy flat rice noodle stirfry, is the best I have had ... the fresh noodles were Thai aldente, you would be suprised how many places get this wrong and serve up a big gluggy mess! The green curry smacked... More

I have only heard good things about this place. It is BYO and the Castlecrag Cellars is nearby with an excellent selection. The scallop on a beetle nut leaf is very good. We had the $42 banquet. The smaller one would have done as the food keeps arriving if you have the banquet ask the waitress to serve the stir... More

Had a table for two last night at 6.30. The restaurant was fairly quiet apart from a group of ladies enjoying an early start. By 7.00 it was almost full. The food was full of flavour and very fresh. The staff were friendly and attentive. They even happily supplied a doggy bag at the end. B.Y.O. Very good value.

Among the hundreds of good Thai restaurants in Sydney, this one raises its head above most of them. Top quality food which is tasty, well-presented and thoroughly enjoyable. I had my 75th Birthday here last night. The service was excellent and there wasn't anything less than excellent for everything.

This is one of our favourite Sydney restaurants and is on our regular list. The scallop starter is a buzz with lots of ingredients making a sweet, sour, crunchy, squishy taste bomb. All the dishes are good and the regular specials are worth a try. I think we've eaten our way right through the menu and can honestly say it's... More
