Terrible Server!!!

After food was brought, I asked server for mayonnaise. He told me they didn't have mayonnaise. 😊 I asked how they made the slaw without mayonnaise...I've been coming here 20 years. Don't insult my intelligence because you're too lazy to get what your customer wants! I got my mayonnaise. 😊

We always enjoy great southern foods over looking the reservior. So neat to see the waiter flip the cornbread in the small iron skillet and then cut it right in front of your eyes. Our favorites to eat: cornbread, fried dill pickles, hush puppies, turnip greens, cole slaw, catfish filets, fires. Afterwards, it is always fun to go out and... More

This was the worst food and environment that I've ever been to for lunch. I had heard good things, but don't believe it. The food was terrible. The service was terrible. The experience of an era that they were trying to capture was a terrible experience.

We ate lunch here recently. The service was good and the food was decent but overpriced. You basically have your choice of fried chicken or fried catfish ($12.95 and $13.95) and a few sides. Two people could probably split a meal and it would make more sense to eat here for the $.

Best catfish ever and plenty of it. Served on a silver platter with fries and hushpuppies, Cole slaw, marinated onions and tossed cornbread comes with the meal. Order sides of greens and fried dill pickles and this is truly heaven. The cornmeal coating on the catfish is the best ever...YES really..Best catfish anywhere.

Forget about your diet! This is the place to eat fried everything and anything. I was introduced to fried pickles here and it was love at first bite. It is a basic recipe - take a jar of sliced hamburger pickles, dip them in milk/eggs (just guessing here), coat them with a flour/cornmeal/spice mix (again guessing) and fry, baby fry!... More

The food is very good; especially the cole slaw. You get four small pieces of fish or chicken with your order. Portions are smaller than they used to be. Service is always slow.

This place has been around forever and it is a good concept. Their catfish is good and everyone will leave satisfied. Do not order a "Keelboat Special" for each person unless you and your group are used to overeating. Two reasonable people can split a keelboat. I say that becaseu their prices are high for cafe catfish. One Keelboat Special... More

Love it! The food is excellent. Make sure you get the turnip greens. Best I've had since grandma. Pickled onions go really well with the slaw and fish. It's fun for the family to watch the waiters flip the cornbread.

Fun place for families. Great catfish. Cornbread is awesome! A bit of a wait, but it was worth the wait.
