We ate here with a group after a funeral and they gave us a private room. The manager worked with us for weeks trying to finalize a number and was always very friendly and cooperative. The waiter was very efficient and the timing of the meal was good. The greens and cornbread served with all meals was great, the catfish... More

I have been goimg here for over 20 years and I use to send our out of state business contacts here but lately it has not been a good call. I cannot remember the last time I had good service here but it was many trips ago. We go because we can take the boat there and walk up to... More

this is a reasonably good place to go. Over looks at Reservoir. Very smelly and dusty as you walk in, Decor is ancient. Only fried chicken and fried catfish are the options with corn bread, slaw, hush puppies and fries. If you like fried food this would be a place to go. Service is on tin plates and mugs. Floors... If don't like fried food, go somewhere else. But if you do, the catfish here is about as good as it gets. The restaurant overlooks the Ross Barnett Reservoir, so the view is great. This is family style dining off of tin plates, tin cups and crock-pots. Go on a week night to avoid the crowds. The place gets very... More

I've eaten here probably 20 times over the years and its always consistent. The catfish, slaw, hushpuppies are so good. Be sure to try their greens, too. Very cute place, although this one seems to be dated somewhat.

Went on a Saturday at 4:30 pm. The restaurant was not crowded at all. The food came quickly after we ordered and was pretty good. The problem was our waitress never came back until we were ready for our check. We had to ask for more water and my husband was never offered a refill on his small metal cup... More

At first I was put off, because they only serve fish or chicken. But one bite and I was sold. The food and the service was excellent. The fried pickles were great!

This location is beautiful, with a view of the lake. It was crowded, and we waited quite a while for our table. The eatery is a bit gimmick-y in that the food is served on metal tins and the waiters are attired in a suspenders and hat get-up...the other gimmick is that you have basically no choice as to what... Took my wife out to eat for her birthday. We were in town and we have always loved to go to Cock of the Walk. Well lets just say I have never paid for such service in my life. I only hope this was an off night. I am assuming it was not because not only was our server rude... More
