Terrible Server!!!

After food was brought, I asked server for mayonnaise. He told me they didn't have mayonnaise. 😊 I asked how they made the slaw without mayonnaise...I've been coming here 20 years. Don't insult my intelligence because you're too lazy to get what your customer wants! I got my mayonnaise. 😊

Following a week of mourning my stepmom, we all decided we should go to Cock of the Walk because she loved eating there. They gave us a private room and the services was great. Catfish, greens, fried dill pickles and more were all delish. We've been going here for years. I only wish there was a grilled option for chicken... More

Beautiful view of the reservoir in the restaurant. Great southern cooking and hospitality. The catfish and greens were my absolute favorites! We were very lucky to have this restaurant recommended to us while visiting.

Whether you are passing through Jackson, or bringing in new friends to show them Mississippi in a single meal, this is the place. This taste of the South has all the fried chicken, catfish, hush puppies and sweet tea you can attempt to fill your belly with. The wait staff even flip the corn bread in the pan right in... More

Ok, let me get the ONE thing out of the way, our server had the worst bedside manor! 3 out of 5 of us had never been here and she helped us 0%. Now, with that out of the way, this location is on a reservoir and you can see a long stretch of water and boats! I dont know... More

Turn back the clock to the days of riding down the Mississippi River in a barge and stopping in for a much deserved dinner of Fried Catfish or Chicken, Potato Planks, an iron pot of turnip greens, Fried Green Tomatoes and some of the best Cornbread you'll ever taste! Fun for the whole family! Lakeside and watching the thunderstorm blow... More

Great Atmosphere. Good for groups. Food is served home style. The menu is simple and delicious. Fish and Fries at its best. Go often.

We always enjoy great southern foods over looking the reservior. So neat to see the waiter flip the cornbread in the small iron skillet and then cut it right in front of your eyes. Our favorites to eat: cornbread, fried dill pickles, hush puppies, turnip greens, cole slaw, catfish filets, fires. Afterwards, it is always fun to go out and... More

This was the worst food and environment that I've ever been to for lunch. I had heard good things, but don't believe it. The food was terrible. The service was terrible. The experience of an era that they were trying to capture was a terrible experience.

We ate lunch here recently. The service was good and the food was decent but overpriced. You basically have your choice of fried chicken or fried catfish ($12.95 and $13.95) and a few sides. Two people could probably split a meal and it would make more sense to eat here for the $.
