Great Italian food!

We have always enjoyed eating at Amerigo's. I went with my girl friends last week and it was great! The starters, main entrees, salads, and bisque are all wonderful! Our waiter was top notch and the atmosphere is pleasant.

Chicken acuto with black bean salsa was excellent! (I asked them to flash fry the artichoke for the crunch...mmm.) Seating is cozy so not ideal for squirmy children or high chairs.

I always enjoy Amerigo, but this time stands out. Everyone- from the server, to the host, to the busboy- was top notch. I got the special black fish, and it was delicious. My only regret was skipping dessert, but I was way too full! They don't take call-ahead or reservations on Friday/Saturday nights; be prepared to wait, especially if you... More

I'd be tempted to call this southern Italian, with the slightly sweeter, heavy marinara sauce. That's what was on the lasagna, which was very good. However, my husband had the pasta with duck and, since we were with other people, it seemed rude to tackle him and steal it. Rich, but not too rich, and perfectly creamy. The pre-dinner bread... We ate a late lunch/early dinner here. They have lunch and early bird specials. We tried the famous cheese fritters and they were good. I had the CHICKEN ACUTO WITH BLACK BEAN SALSA as my entree. It was very good. I was a little disappointed that I didn't try the pasta, but I was not disappointed with the flavor or... More

This place is known for their Italian dishes. We went for my birthday dinner. If you do not like to wait, get there AT 5 or earlier. Saturday nights are always busy. Lunch is reasonable. My husband and I both got the special. Filet was very good, and our waiter was very helpful & knowledgeable. I will go again.

Great food and early bird dinner is a good value. Server was slow to say the least. Would return when in the area.
