Nice dinner on the square

Varied menu with some good seafood options. Service was prompt and the atmosphere is nice. Be sure to have a reservation on the weekend and be prepared to have to search for parking on the square and possibly walk a bit to get there.

This is one of the best places to eat in Oxford, Mississippi. The tea is good, the hamburger is delicious, the homemade salad dressing is worth the visit! We will be back. The Lowreys

My coworker and I ate dinner at McEwen's Oxford on Feb. 3, 2015. The restaurant had a few tables filled when we arrived. Met at the door with, "do you have reservations?". There were several more tables filled when we left. I ordered BBQ duck enchiladas (appetizer) and wild mushroom salad. The salad was WonderfuL. However, the enchiladas were a... More

nicely decorated restaurant with three tables filled when we arrived. Ordered appetizers and salads. Took almost an hour to get the appetizer. It was Good tasting but COLD. Took dessert to go (banana pie) that I took one bite of and then threw the $7 piece of pie in the trash.

This is touted to be in the group of the "better and pricier" restaurants in Oxford. It is both of those and provides the town with some variety, though each play on a local style of Southern Gourmet cooking. Figure $40-$50 a plate with drinks. If you are not too hungry try a couple of appetizers. We had the oysters, a... More

This is my second review for this restaurant. The staff has gotten better, food is great, but is about time they make a few changes to their menu, particularly their appetizers section, which needs more variety and selections. We were a party of eight people and we all had a hard time liking/picking anything from the appetizers section. Great atmosphere!

We walked into this place after the Ole Miss v. Auburn game. Every other place in town turned us away, but the staff here said they could work us in. We had about an hour wait and the place was packed! Note to self: next time make reservations! That said, we waiting our time and were seated. Good cocktails and... More

Had a late dinner in Oxford after a long day of soccer games. Waited a few minutes at 830. Drinks looked like water. They forgot the booze..... Maybe.... Waitress did a nice job. They were out of salmon. We had filets and med well came out med rare. They ran out of bread. Out of 6 people 4 had their... More

This is a great football weekend choice. The menu offers a great variety and all of my guests were pleased. I typically seek out fresh fish and i was not disappointed. Not as good as a gulf coast seafood restaurant, but good for an "inland" establishment. Even with a large crowd the service was spot on. The wine list is... More
