Our favorite Sunday brunch place. Steak and eggs Benedict is my favorite as well as the shrimp and grits.

I ordered duck gumbo, followed by chilied sea bass (which was delicious). However, the gumbo was luke-warm, not even hot, and the waitress took it away, and returned it a few minutes later - it was hot, but the same portion warmed up - not a fresh portion. I don't even expect that in a chain restaurant, let alone a... More
In Oxford we have a number of very fine restaurants. McEwens in one of the best from our vantage point. Very good service, not too crowded or to loud and the food is consistently outstanding.
Wife and I were visiting our son in Oxford with another couple. Based on an outstanding previous experience, I suggested we partake in the brunch at McEwen's during the Texas A&M game weekend. Walked right in and immediately seated to a wonderful meal and impeccable service. Always consistently excellent.
My meal couldn't have been better. Started out with just one very tender, perfectly baked biscuit. A cup of Duck gumbo with a little spice on top and I was off to a great start. To cleanse the palate and get ready for my entree, I had a wonderful, warm, wild mushroom salad with a hint of balsamic vinaigrette. The... More
We enjoyed a dinner here the Friday before a game. We made reservations early, arrived at 8 and were seated immediately. Service was attentive and very quick. We had the scallop and the sea bass entrees which were both excellent. The risotto with the fish was especially good. The servings are not large for the $30 price range, but in... More
McEwen's is one of several very good restaurants on the square in Oxford. The menu was pretty standard continental, which actually seems a little unusual around here. Some had a beef filet that was very good and I had sea bass that was perfectly cooked, moist, tender, and not over done. Salads and desert were also very good.
Consistently rewarding culinary experience... Original offerings, accompanied by a wine selection that although not ample is very, very good, and attentive, professional service. Highly recommended !
Mcewen's is one of our favorites! The atmosphere is nice, service is excellent and the food is even better! We have never been dissapointed!
I love the cozy feeling you have when you are sitting in a booth or even the table in the window. The staff is always happy to help with food choices and the wine list. The bar is fun to have a drink before dinner. The biscuits they serve are to die for!!!!
