My wife and I absolutely love Volta and try to stop by whenever we can. Unlike most joints in Oxford, Volta is not highly overrated. I've honestly never ordered anything bad off the menu, but the Greek Pimento & Cheese are the must-have appetizer. My favorite gyro to get is the Philly while my wife goes for the Lamb &... More

Food is really good, if not exactly authentic Greek, more like Greek-American. This is the best place to go if you want to have an audible conversation with friends, and the service is the best--casual, friendly, and accommodating. The owner has created a 100% positive atmosphere, and it shows.

We eat at Volta a lot when we visit Oxford. Had dinner there on our most recent visit, for the Egg Bowl. Great hummus, plenty of pita served with it. Everyone was satisfied with their entrees - chicken suvlaki, different pizza choices, huge Greek salad. Our original waiter was a very grouchy guy - there were 9 of us, so... More

this is a great little lunch spot. My wife had the chicken slavka and love it and I had the Gyro. Meet was great and all the taste blended well together.

I currently live in Oxford and attend Ole Miss and Volta is by far one of my favorite restaurants in town. Great atmosphere with great service. I always get the lamb and beef gyro and it is always amazing! They have great half priced margaritas several days a week that also keep me coming back. Last time I was there... More

Volta has the best atmosphere of any restaurant in Oxford. The walls are decorated with art by local artists and on beautiful days they open their garage doors so you can feel the breeze. The service is consistently great and the food is consistently delicious. One of my favorite meals in town is their souvlaki wrap with a side of... More

I've gotten to enjoy this restaurant twice in the past two years on visits to Oxford. I've eaten gyros all over the country, and these are toward the top of the list. Although the pita was a bit dry and cracked apart on the last visit, it was still worth the stop. The gyro is overloaded with meat, something you... More

Located in a converted garage, Volta Taverna hosts a predominantly young crowd drawn to a good but not fancy menu of pizzas, sandwiches, burgers, and the like. Prices are very reasonable and food quality pretty decent. A gyro pizza featuring lamb and sausage was tasty and just the right size. Service was fast and friendly. For a quick but good... More

My husband and I were in Oxford, MS and wanted some lunch but most of the restaurants in the area was still selling breakfast so we said we would go on over to the funny looking restaurant made like a big gas station and most everybody was there anyway but to our surprise it was the best restaurants we had... I've visited this restaurant on several occasions for lunch and dinner. I've never had anything but wonderful things to say about it! The service is always very attentive and friendly. The food comes out quickly and is always spot on. The atmosphere is amazing with friendly employees and being in an old gas station. I definitely recommend the souvlaki, hotty... More
