The epitome of a dive, the cinder block exterior and live bait sign would make most people pass on this waterfront hybrid. It's part restaurant, part bar, part bait shop, all wrapped up in a faded, psychedelic turquoise blue. It's a no-fuss atmosphere with indoor and outdoor dining. The outside deck overlooks a sawgrass bayou off the back bay of... More

The food Mike's has to offer is fried fish...that being said I ordered the Red Snapper broiled. What was i thinking? I was not happy with the selection or preparation. It was tasteless and not well prepared. The salad that was served previous to dinner was iceberg lettuce with croutons and the vegetable side medley served with the entree was... More

From the road...this place may appear to be more bait shop the eatery. Don't be fooled. This is great food with a view. It looks out over the scenic back bayou. Place is clean...wait staff pleasant. We had lunch there....the fried shrimp platter one some one the best i've had on the coast. Wife had a Philly sandwich. Was delish... More

Stayed five days at the Beau and should have eaten every day here! There seafood is the best of the whole trip. Do not let the location or decor fool you. You will enjoy the food and be back!

Finally ate here on our last day of the trip. It sits right on the tide waters marsh. Mike was great. The restaurant is rustic but very clean. We ordered Fried seafood platter and fried oysters. The breading used was perfect and delicious. This is a secret. Don't judge this place by the looks of the outside. Mike also runs... More

The softshell crab and raw oysters are the bomb. AND the beer is very cold. I plan my trips from Florida to Houston so I can stop at Mikey's!

Cheap, clean, tasty? What more could you ask for? It is very much the bayside eating place.

If you want to go where the locals go, Mike's is the place. They have generous portions and a different noon special each day of the week. We especially liked their shrimp and fries platter and the shrimp spaghetti.

Great location, right on Fort Bayou. The place was buzzing but not packed. We were waited on right away and our server was prompt and attentive. We were not seated where we had a view and there seemed to be some sort of a leak that was puddling water on the floor :-( I ordered the Seafood Platter and to... More
