Good shrimp, catfish

I been going to aunt Jenny's since i was a youngun. Good ol shrimp, or fish or fried chicken, cole slaw, and if you ask, they will bring green onions and carrot sticks. Oh and we must not forget those fluffy biscuits. Like heaven! In a beautiful old house surrounded by oaks.

A lovely rambling old house, friendly waitresses, and a familiar menu make this an easy place to fill hungry bellies. Fried fish, shrimp, tomatoes, and well, most things you can throw in a fryer are all done nicely here. The old breading recipe is delicious and just the right balance of spicy and flavorful. Not a huge amount of options... More

The wife and I had dinner here a couple of weeks ago. The place is old, but beautiful under the mossy oaks on a hill above the bayou. The floors are creaky, but the windows across the back offer a wonderful view. I had a regular portion of fried catfish and fried shrimp. I was delicious! Both were fried very... More

No one makes fried green tomatoes as good as Aunt Jenny's!!!! No one! And I don't even like fish of any kind, and loved, loved, loved the Catfish! Oh my, it's over a 1000 miles away and I wish I could go there every week! The quaintness of the building and the 500 year old live oaks each add so... More

A local recommended Aunt Jenny's because of the atmosphere and local cooking. The rambling house, down home staff and southern fried seafood made a nice night out. Don't expect fine dining, but do expect to leave feeling happy and full. Our plates fill with battered and fried things arrived within minutes and was good and filling. I ordered the gumbo... More

You too will enjoy eating here if you like catfish. Although it's not on the menu, you can also get catfish broiled and it's very good. Served with coleslaw, and sweet potato. The biscuits are light and flakey. Service is great

We stopped at Aunt Jenny's from recommends from the motel we were staying. I ordered the senior combination plate of shrimp and catfish, which was plenty for me, and very good. My husband ordered the all you can eat shrimp, which he liked very much. We both had the sweet potato which was very good. Service was great. Prices were... More

We ordered the large catfish dinner with sweet potato. Catfish filets were thin & over cooked with too much cornmeal. Potato was ok. Had the bread pudding for dessert, but it was more like a cake with sugary sweet sauce. Have had better food elsewhere. Cannot recommend.

We had lunch here with a group of 25 people. First off, the men's bathroom toilet was out of order. And there was only one. After being seated with our group in front of chipped, worn plastic plates, we were given biscuits and coleslaw family style. Did not try the coleslaw as I'm not a fan, but one basket of... More
