Good food, just a little pricey. Beautiful scenery. Down home ambiance. Worth the drive if you like fried seafood.
We had a wonderful meal at Aunt Jennys. The views from the windows are outstanding and very peaceful and relaxing. Our waitress was wonderful and the food was delicious. Shrimp was better than catfish to me, the baked sweet potato was to die for. Too full on the large dinner for dessert. Loved it!
The restaurant is rustic and its location on the river made for a picturesque dining experience. All the staff were friendly and provided great service. We had the fried catfish and fried shrimp, with coleslaw and baked sweet potatoes, and we also tried the chicken and sausage gumbo. The coleslaw had really good flavor; the sweet potatoes were very good;... More
We had the fried chicken. Comes with fries or baked sweet potato. Then they serve cole slaw in a crock to share wit the group. Chicken was great. Oh I forgot about the homemade biscuits and molasses. Yum!!!
We have been to Aunt Jenny's on many occasions. The atmosphere is great - an old house on the river. The perfect place for a catfish joint. The food is always excellent and usually consistent. Although last time we did have some biscuits that seemed like they had been sitting around for a while. We always get catfish and can... More
Good service, excellent food and reasonable prices. My fried catfish as well as fried shrimp were so fresh tasting and prepared perfectly. Simple, rustic decor..not fancy, which set the tone for a nice relaxed dinner. Most enjoyable!
Four of us ate supper and had a choice of fish, shrimp or chicken. The food and service was good and the décor was nice. Different style of breading on fish and chicken which I liked very much, but the others not as much. But overall a good place to stop and eat...

I stop at Aunt Jenny's once a year. The fried catfish is consistently good: lightly breaded and flaky inside. The biscuits are a nice touch to reflect traditional Southern food, but unfortunately, they are often dry. Of course, once they are covered in butter and jelly, they are fine. The best thing about Aunt Jenny's is the atmosphere. Try to... More
We stopped here looking for a light lunch, we sat in the restaurant looking out over a fantastic view of the bayou. We ordered the Catfish creole and Anthony's catfish. When the food arrived my mother and i believed we had made an awful mistake as present station goes it looked horrible. But buried beneath a creole sauce were two... More
