Never would have stopped here by the outside appearance, but a local recommended it so we went in mid-afternoon. Didn't get the buffet because it was too close to dinner but got some sweet potatoes, fried chicken, field beans, coleslaw, potato salad and cobbler. Everything was perfection - so great that we got an order to go for dinner the... More

My wife and I took a Sunday ride after church. We rode for a while and ended up in Lorman, Ms at the old country store. We had seen it on Alton Brown's Feasting on Asphalt and also on LA Rider. The fried chicken was the best I have ever eaten, bar none. Arthur Davis came out of the kitchen... More

Excellent fried chicken, and great classic sides. I felt as if I was eating at grandma's house for Thanksgiving. Each piece of fried chicken was perfectly cooked. Must visit if in the area or passing through.

Unique, family-run, buffet-style restaurant with fantastic fried chicken and lots of atmosphere. No sign on the outside of the joint--it looks like an old country store with a long narrow porch across the front of it. Big surprise inside is white linen tablecloths, all set up and ready for you, and a warm welcome to come on in and fill... More

Alton Brown from Feeding on Asphalt suggested that this was the best fried Chicken in the world so we were curious to try for ourselves. We pulled up to what appeared to be an old mercantile store. To our delight we entered into fried chicken heaven! There... More
