Who needs frills and thrills when you have good food for a great price with excellent service. True southern hospitality with a mom and pop feel. Cheeseburger combo can't be beat and get the seasoned fries. And if you really want to tempt your palate...get yourself a fried bologna sammich...lol Beatty Street--a true gem in Jackson!

Don't go in looking for frills and thrills. The food is awesome and the service is great. I love going. However, don't go doing the lunch hour. The crowd and line can be a bit much. So if your lunch hour is flexible, go around 1:30 or 2:00. Try the steak poboy with grilled onions and peppers and get the... More

As others have said, this place has a great burger especially for the price. The ribeye sandwich is quite good and the fried bologna hits that spot, if your taste run that away. Ordering can be intimidating as the range of choices is great and there is a little "soup nazi" feel to the process. But don't worry I have... More

This is a good place for tasty, yet inexpensive food. They even serve bologna sandwiches. They also sell burgers, ribeye sandwiches and chili dogs. Best value for your money.

This place is a hidden gem. They have the best burgers in Jackson, Ms...and fried bologna sandwiches. The venue reminds me of when I was young...a good ole country store.

Good food. It has been there for years and is a good place to grab a bite. An old grocery store turned into a grill. I've been eating there for about 45 years and still enjoy it.

I've eaten their on spurts, and love that however u want it attitude. The food is pretty good, not a big crowd. In addition they do hv a sit down area if u can't wait, cause it's actually a pick up spot.

In every city, there are a few joints that have been around forever. Beatty Street Grocery is one of those. The people taking your order and ringing you up? They want to chat. They make good suggestions. They probably know every nook and cranny of the city. The food isn't anything fancy, but the portions are huge and the prices... More

I had lunch at Beatty Street Grocery on June 26, 2013. It had been a long time since I had eaten at Beatty Street. Beatty Street Grocery has been owned and operated by the same family for around 80 years. It used to be a real grocery store, but over the years it became a restaurant. I had the tuna... More

What can I say about Beatty St. Groc. Let me count the ways. :) The food is worth the wait when you go to that place. The hamburgers, french fries that you can get Tony seasoning or Lemon Pepper or just regular salt on them with pepper. Anything that you want; from a hamburger to poboys to fried egg sandwich...
