This drug store was used for the filming of The Help. So we have wanted to come here to see it. The malt 's were by far the best I have ever had. The burgers were not as good as I had hoped. But, the ice cream made the trip worth it all.

We had to stop here for milkshakes because we're big fans of The Help, and of course, they shot a couple of scenes here. It looks pretty much like it did in the movie and was very nostalgic for those of us who remember drug stores & soda fountains. My husband had the sweet potato shake (we visited during the...

I've never had a real, honest-to-goodness malted from a soda fountain until today. It was completely delicious.
This is the coolest place, it's like where Archie, Betty, Veronica and Jughead used to hang out.
Not being American, places like this are usually only seen in movies, so to have come here and sat at the counter was very, very cool!...

Great malts! Great atmosphere - nostalgic of the 50's. The burger was pretty good - not great, but worth the trip. And a really good value. Service was friendly. Brent's is a must if you are in town or just passing thru.
Brent's has good burgers, but the highlights are the fried okra and the milkshakes. Make sure you stop here, but my only complaint is that the place is low staffed and it took the staff our whole visit to clean 3 out of the 7 tables that were dirty when we got there. Other than that, the service is great,...

My husband and I ate lunch here before checking into The Fairview Inn. "The Help" is one of my favorite movies of all time so I found it cool to be in the same restaurant featured in the movie. This is a classic 1950's eats experience that is just plain fun. We sat by the board games and played tic-tac-toe...

I had breakfast at Brent's this morning, November 29, 2012. The breakfast, while not much different from any other breakfast, was unique because of where it was. Brents used to be a drug store with a soda fountain, and now it is a restaurant. I found the atmosphere to be nostalgic, and the service to be excellent. I enjoyed the...

Having been to Brent's several times, I never tire of this restaurant. The burgers are delicious, as well as the egg & olive salad sandwich. You definitely feel like you have stepped back in time when you eat at Brent's Drugs. The children love to go here (even being teenagers) - the milkshakes and gift shop is their vice at...

Pretty good food, but it's the atmosphere -- and if you're like me, you like oddities for sale -- that makes the place special. It's definitely a throwback to a time that passed a long, long time ago.
One of the few remaining true soda fountains is the real draw for most but the food is good enough to make you come back. Really good burgers and sandwiches (try the egg and olive on toast and the tuna melt) and great malts and shakes. Don't miss it.
