My wife and I have recently moved to the Hattiesburg area. Crescent City was referred by family members and I must admit they were spot on. The atmosphere is amazing, the menu is perfect, the service was more than efficient and pleasant. This is a great restaurant for any occasion. We had an amazing time and will certainly continue to... Robert St. John and his crew outdid themselves with the freshness and uniqueness of the crab recipes for this month's event. I had the crab stuffed portobello over cooked down spinach and dirty rice and literally oohed and ahhed with every bite ( probably embarrassed my family but it was THAT good). Just go. All I can tell ya is... More

Crescent City along with the adjoining resaurants are worth the stop. Fresh seasonal seafood always available and very good. Great bar items. Desserts are wonderful!

Our first 2 visits were great, great service, great food, wonderful evening. Next visit was early afternoon at 4pm for a early dinner and i was very disappointed. My food was cold, waiter took it to heat up. He was very annoyed by my request to have hot food. Manager was not happy either! When i got my food back... More

We were en route back from the beach and needed out last fresh fish and oysters "fix" for the year. This place was just perfect! We had grilled mahi mahi plus 4 vegetables (grilled asparagus, steamed broccoli, steamed mixed vegetables, and sweet peas), a cup of Ya-Ya gumbo, and a dozen raw oysters. We will be back every time we... More

Every time we have a reason to go to or through Hattiesburg, my mom and I try to eat here. The Basin Street Chicken is soooo good! We almost always share a dessert like the White Chocolate Bread Punning or Death By Chocolate.

Appetizers, entrees, and sides were all good, but the wait from ordering to receiving food was very long. Our waitress was very nice. Atmosphere was good. Menu was a bit more upscale and pricier than "grill" suggests. We would try again.

Stopped for lunch while traveling. It did not disappoint! The fried green tomato/crab BLT was delicious! The side was New Orleans style slaw. Crunchy and creamy goodness! Was stuffed but shared a chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwich. The cookie was full of chocolate chunks and combined with the vanilla ice cream, it hit the spot. Glad we stopped! The... More

After reading the many reviews I had tea here. The food was okay if not a little bland. The waiter was very attentive and couldn't do enough for me. The restaurant itself is attached to the Mahogany Bar which for a week night was busy.
