Best Darn BBQ you will EVER Eat!

We stopped by on our way to Florida and found this little treasure of a BBQ shack. Very modest and a little hard to find but this family owned and ran restaurant is worth the effort. The family is wonderful and will make you feel welcome. After enjoying the very best BBQ we have ever had, the wife... read more

Located on Highway 98, Letha's is a well known place among the locals. The chicken is excellent! The baked beans are great, and the sweet tea will put you into a sugar coma.

Excellent food and friendly service. The decor is, well, interesting. But, I guess that just adds to the ambiance. :) Gets a bit crowded in there are times, but we've not ever had to wait for a table. There isn't a large selection (menu) but what they do have it excellent.

Passing through Hattiesburg, we decided to try highly rated Leatha's. This is the classic bbq setting--wood frame house with creaky wood floors, big open room with paneled walls hung with photos and awards. It was crowded with diners and those waiting to be seated. People come prepared to wait, as there is no way to get your name on a... More

Driving from University of Alabama back to Houston and wanted BBQ for lunch... Followed all the recommendations for Leatha's and went to find it. Being a BBQ lover and the daughter of a Texas World Champion BBQ Champion (literally), I can be quite the critic. Leatha's didn't disappoint! The chicken reminded me of my Dad's, and the pork ribs were... More

My son is a student at Southern Miss and he came back to North Dakota for a ten day visit before returning for the fall semester. I decided to ride back with him and catch a flight home. Boy am I glad I did! Searching Trip Advisor I found Leatha's to be the #1 Overall restaurant in the Hattiesburg area.... More

After reading all the rave reviews about this place, we just had to stop by. Fantastic experience from the get go! Great waitress, for when I asked her if they had Sweet Tea she responded "all that you'd need". We ordered Pulled Pork, Beef Ribs, Cole Slaw, Fried Potatoes, and Baked Beans.... There was nothing left when we we're done!!... More

I went to the original Leatha's in Columbia, MS, where she started out. I loved it! But when I finally got around to trying the one in Hattiesburg, I wasn't really impressed. The food was good, but I've had better ribs (especially in Memphis, and even at the Smokehouse in Laurel), and better chicken. I guess I was looking to... More

We have been several times with groups and every time the whole group has been satisfied. The staff is always very friendly and they never get your order wrong even though they don't write anything down.
