Staff is nice, but the prices for what you get are high, They sell local seafood and beers so it make it unique. It is tucked away so it hard to find if you are new to the area, but when you get there, they make you feel like you are family.

After having seen a segment on this restaurant on a popular Food network program, we decided to stop in on our drive from Gulf Shores to New Orleans and we weren't disappointed.
The setting is beautiful in this waterfront restaurant. The main restaurant is upstairs although it looks as though they have a downstairs outdoor eating area but this was...

The whole experience here was great. Food was good and you leave stuffed. The service is wonderful. Had THE BEST sweet tea and you gotta try their homemade ranch dressing....AWESOME!
We've been to the Blow Fly everytime we've visited the area. You're going to be hard pressed to find a "locals" restaurant anywhere that has ratings this high. The unmatchable food, price, service, atmosphere and view are the reasons why. Don't even think about visiting without trying the onion rings!
I ordered the fried seafood platter and ate everything. I also ate the seafood gumbo. everyhting was great! The people were very friendly. i even found room for a rich chocolate dessert. My girl got the red beans and rice. i tried it and it was execellent. but my money is on the seafood platter!
I went again last fall and was really disappointed. There was no one in the restaurant, which is obviously a bad sign. Even with no one there, the service was slow. In addition, the food was a big disappointment. I have to wonder if the owners sold to someone else since it was on TV and the new owners have...

I've only eaten here at lunch but have enjoyed the food and scenic view. Most lunch meals are around $8-10 and include delicious banana pudding for dessert. Blow Fly opens at 11:00 for lunch and can get crowded toward noon. The location is off the beaten path but not very far from the beach area.
Soups are stellar, will return if possible. And try shrimp/grits ... Got to make this longer as sweet and simple seems to be not enough
Dined here in 2011 and made sure I went back, several times, when I stayed in area for month of Feb. It is on back bay area so a little difficult to find but worth it. I ate here 4 times in the month and each time was outstanding food and service. Had two different specials that included the banana...

My husband and I are visiting the Gulfport/Biloxi, MS area for 2 weeks. We had some printed guides that mentioned Blow Fly Inn in Gulfport. It was featured on Food Network's Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. The 3 reviews on that website were 1, 5 and 5 stars. I also read other reviews, including, of course, some on Trip Advisor. As...
