Really close to giving this place 5 stars! Wish I could go with a 4.5! If you are expecting linen and a wine list forget it but the food was great! It is an out of the way place that you might have to search for but do it. It is located on the "back bay" in a residential area... more

We ate there the first time tonight, we had heard it was a great place and were looking forward to a nice family meal. We found the prices more expensive than I would have thought I ordered Shrimp & oyster combo $16.99. When I got the plate of 6 fried shrimp and 6 fried oysters a side scoop of potato... more

We regularly eat at the Blow Fly when we are on the coast. The food and service has always been great. The view of the bay just adds more appeal. On our last visit (06-21-09), we watched 4-5 dolphins playing in the water...not to mention fish jumping everywhere! Poboys and crab cakes are among my favorites and you MUST try... more

June 1, 2009 Going to the Blow Fly Inn on the info gained from the Food Network’s Triple D, we were thoroughly pleased. The atmosphere was downright neighborly, the view of the bayou with the fish jumping, and painted-quality sunset were great for tourists like us. Oh yes, and the food was outstanding. We had the onion rings, which were... more

I thought the food was a bit pricey for the little bit they give you. But the overview of the lake made everything better. Would recommend. more

My family and I were visiting family and they suggested we eat at the Blowfly Inn. My brother in law ordered two appetizers and I ordered one. I should have known with the fried green tomatoes to steer others clear of the fried foods. The tomatoes were very bland , the seasoning they used in their breading was zilch. My... more

This was one of the best restaurants we've eaten at in a while. We had a large group of eleven and every one of us was pleased with our meals. Our waitress was great even though she was also working another table of almost fifteen people. The fried pickle, onion rings and fried crawfish appetisers were all very good. The... more

We went to the Blow Fly Inn because we saw it featured on The Food Network. My wife got the baked stuffed flounder and a baked potato. The potato wasn't anything spectacular, but she really enjoyed the flounder. It's somewhat expensive at around $25, but well worth the cost. I got the BBQ shrimp. The shrimp, sauteed veggies and salad... more

Everything we had was excellent. Started with the fried green tomatoes with crabmeat then we had a Seafood Platter & one of the Chef's Specials. The special was one of the best meals I've had anywhere. The dessert case in unbelieveable. more
