Great views and a good choice of local food

The restaurant is right on an inlet/creek. I really liked the fried oysters. They were done is a cornmeal breading and the outside was crisp while the oysters were moist and flavorful. All the food we had was very good

The blowfly in is one of my favorite spots in Gulfport. It's completely rebuilt having been destroyed in hurricane Katrina . It has a wonderful view overlooking the marsh of Davis bayou with seating both inside or out. They serve both lunch and dinner. Naturally, the menu lists all the regular dishes from steak to fried seafood and poboys. Read... More

We had lunch at the Blow Fly Inn and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The red beans and rice are great. The catfish fingers were very tasty, but the lunch serving was fairly small - only three small pieces. The view of the water, dotted with an occaisional 'gator, was lovely. Our server was a delight, a bubbly personality with a full... More

This place is amazing!! This was my third visit to the Blow Fly and I've never been disappointed. We ordered the Shrimp topped fried-green tomatoes which were indescribable. My husband and I both ordered BBQ shrimp. Best I've ever eaten!! We look forward to having a meal here when we are in the Gulfport area.

Went here because of Triple D. Underwhelmed. The catfish tasted muddy. The red beans and rice were good as we're the hush puppies. Crab cakes were good too. Had the stuffed flounder and have had better elsewhere. We were really looking forward to this spot but not worth going back.

I love The Blow Fly Inn. Every time I'm in the area I stop. I just started Weight Watchers and was afraid I wouldn't be able to find anything to eat. I was wrong. I had a Grilled Combo (skinless chicken breast and shrimp) with steamed veggies. All power foods! Yea!!!

Went there for the first time for a family dinner. Location was a little out of the way but the food was worth the drive. Prices were average.

Search no further. I have eaten half my weight in Shrimp Po' Boys over the years and there have been many good ones. Blow Fly Inn serves the best I've ever tasted: copious, delicious shrimp, great bread (which, in my opinion, can make or break a Po' Boy)and the right amount of trimming. Throw in an order of the most... More

The place has got to be a lot of fun in the summer with all the seating outside as well as under the restaurant itself. It sits on the water, which is fun and the view is great. The gumbo and po-boy's were delicious! Definitely worth the stop.
