Great food & fun atmosphere!

Captain Al & his daughter (sorry, forgot her name) have a great place! We recently had lunch there and it was excellent. My husband had a shrimp po-boy prepared exactly the way he asked (this is a rarity!) and he loved it. I had a crab cake and the corn-crab bisque which were both very good... read more

Best lunch special I've had in a very long time. Had lunch on a Thursday, the special was pork chops. I had the grilled chop with fried okra and mashed potatoes. I will be back on my next trip to the Gulf Coast. I've heard (from family) the steaks are the best on the Coast Karen S

The steak was amazing. It was flavorful and juicy! It is one of the best around. Everything we ate was so yummy.

Food was not good or fresh. I ordered the Steak and Shrimp late and the Shrimp tasted like the frozen ones you buy for Shrimp Cocktail. The steak was not good either and was less than 1/4in thick. Not the size of steak you get or the type of shrimp you get at a place that calls them selves a... More

This is my new favorite restaurant in Gulfport. It has been there for years but for some reason every time we visited the area we didn't check it out. Not this time. We had dinner on a Thursday night (Boiled shrimp, gumbo and grilled chicken salad) and it was all really great. The wait staff was very friendly and you... More

Looking for a great restaurant off the beaten path, this is it. They cook all their steaks over pecan wood, fresh seafood, and great service. About the fifth time I have been, and all visits very good. Great for date or family dinner, very cool décor also.

We have been coming here for the past 8 years and love it! It's expensive but great food!! However we have noticed a change the past few times we have been in. Apparently the daughter is now in charge and you can tell the difference! We went in today and my steak was abnormally fatty so I mentioned it to... More

Captain Al's is a seafood restaurant that has some of the best steaks and seafood on the Gulf. It does not seat many people at a time but we have never had a long wait to be seated. Since it is not on the beach not a lot of people know about it,But it is the locals favorite.

Stopped by for lunch today. Had the shrimp po boy. It's hard to mess up something so simple, but they did a good job with the shrimp so I thought it was a good choice. The sweet tea was good, and the servers were quick and good looking.

Steaks had a good flavor but were extremely thin. Imitation crab meat in the salad. Not impressed. Guess some people just have never eaten good food.
