The after Katrina renovation of the Gulfport Historical District is an architectural gem. This restaurant is located in one of its beautiful old buildings, a prior bank, and the inside is the typical modern conversion: exposed bricks, high ceilings, large windows, smart decor and stylist tableware. The atmosphere is relaxed, spiffy, casual. The menu is extensive (beef/seafood) and interesting. As newcomers, we ordered the Kobe burger w/fries ($12) and the Cajun Pasta Supreme w/salad ($15). Good food, great value, but what makes this place outstanding is the dedicated attention to detail - delicious hot bread, piping hot steak fries right from the fryer, a small salad with impecable presentation and walnuts and smoked Gouda to boot... Grand. And the service - a courteous, professional young waiter who anticipated our desires (good staff has this ability) and fulfilled them effective and expeditiously. Truly endearing. Places like this make our escapades from New Orleans to the Gulf beaches a true joy. Of course, we'll return

This is a good restaurant. Friendly service, good food, and is relatively fast. If in downtown, you can grab a good bite at a reasonable price. No complaints.

Nice area, decent food, good service, bit pricey. Close to Island View Casino and beach. Inside is different and somewhat unique.

I rarely have an experience in a restaurant that warrants a 5-star rating across the board but today at lunch my wife, daughter, grandaughter and I had just such an experience at Lookout Steakhouse in Gulfport. Our waiter Jeremy was friendly, attentive and prompt; he also had a great interaction with our nine-month old. No glasses were left even remotely... More

This is my hometown and I eat at the local restaurants frequently, especially when there's a special occasion or when there are guests in town. Sometimes just for weekend outing. Lookout is one of my favorites.

Our experience was terrible. Hopefully it was just an off night. Our accident: a full glass of wine was immediately knocked over into an empty chair. While we were trying to mop up the wine (off of our table, the chair, the floor), staff walked all around us and no one offered to assist. I had to go ask for... More

I love their Softshell Crab Salad. I eat it almost every time we go. We have also eaten their steaks and they are delicious. Our only complaint is their baked potatoes are parboiled ahead of time and not very good. I am sure this is standard in the business, so I do not order their baked potato any longer. They... More

it was ok. son had prime rib sandwich and it was dry - not the greatest very average. I had the 1/2 dozen oysters Rockefeller very very cream sauce hiding the oysters. It was good. also had the salad with honey chicken and it was ok too. not sure I would go back at least for lunch but the menu... More

Restaurant is in picturesque old restored building with high ceilings in downtown Gulfport. Service is very good. Menu is extensive. I and my family and friends have eaten here many, many times and all the foods we have gotten have always been very good. Prices are reasonable.
