Ranked #16 of 192 Restaurants in Gulfport
Certificate of Excellence 2014
Cuisines: American
Dining options: Breakfast/Brunch, Reservations
Description: The after Katrina renovation of the Gulfport Historical District is an architectural gem. This restaurant is located in one of its beautiful old buildings, a prior bank, and the inside is the typical modern conversion: exposed bricks, high ceilings, large windows, smart decor and stylist tableware. The atmosphere is relaxed, spiffy, casual. The menu is extensive (beef/seafood) and interesting. As newcomers, we ordered the Kobe burger w/fries ($12) and the Cajun Pasta Supreme w/salad ($15). Good food, great value, but what makes this place outstanding is the dedicated attention to detail - delicious hot bread, piping hot steak fries right from the fryer, a small salad with impecable presentation and walnuts and smoked Gouda to boot... Grand. And the service - a courteous, professional young waiter who anticipated our desires (good staff has this ability) and fulfilled them effective and expeditiously. Truly endearing. Places like this make our escapades from New Orleans to the Gulf beaches a true joy. Of course, we'll return

Had the grilled Grouper. It was very good, seasoned well and a good portion. The vegetable medley was only ok, disappointed in assortment and portion. Had a cup of the gumbo and it was very good. Pricing was very reasonable for what you get. Will be back.

First time here. Very nice decor but very very loud inside the restaurant. We were greeted by our waiter and bread brought out right away the butter cup looked like it was already used asked for another one and it took awhile. I had the rib eye steak with bake potato both were good. I have had a better steak... More

Friendly service and good steaks. Most dishes lack any imaginative seasoning & are somewhat bland. Hot food can be a problem. We have had to send a few dishes back for a re-heat. Atmosphere and service has always been plesant.

We stopped here for lunch. It made the entire family happy. My oldest child had the chop steak. It was nice. Salads were good.

This was recommended to us by the locals, and they were right on. The food was great and included a southern and Cajun taste. Very good food...the blackened mahi mahi was the dish that I chose with a Portobello mushroom appetizer. Highly recommended.

After researching restaurants in the area, we decided to go here. The decor and feel of the place was the perfect combination of upscale comfort. The food was delicious. I had the shrimp and grits appetizer and blackened catfish, while my boyfriend had the French onion soup and Cajun pasta. All of dishes were cooked to perfection! The portions were... More

We were looking for a spot on our last night of our trip. We wanted something a bit special but not fine dining. This place was perfect. The steaks were great and cooked perfectly. The shrimp and grits were amazing. The grits were prepared as grits cakes and the texture with the shrimp was perfect. The apps were amazing also.... More
