We went to Back Bay about a year ago and at that time, the food and service were excellent. So this weekend when we had a surprise birthday dinner planned in Biloxi so we decided to stop by for lunch with some friends at the Back Bay. Well, I don’t know what has happened to one of our favorite little... More

Stopped here for lunch on our way home from New Orleans. The service was great and so was the food. The fried shrimp and catfish was delicious. I had the hamburger and it was the best I have had in a very long time. Our waiter provided great service. Everyone with me was very pleased with their meal. The prices... More

If you come here do Oysters. Rest is overrated fried foods all batter. Tartar sauce was great. Prices in line with portions and food choices but, flavor just not there. If back in area will look for other options for seafood.

We visit family on the coast about 2x a year and we always make it to this restaurant at least once. The seafood platter is huge and we usually end up sharing it between 3-4 people. The remoulade sauce is good on seafood and salad. The shrimp and grits is pretty good, too! We have always had great waitstaff and... More

We like our food spicy, and Back Bay had terrific spicy remoulade and spicy hushpuppies. We stopped in looking for a quick lunch, but we'll definitely be going back to sample more based on our lunchtime experience. Yazzoo pale ale was delicious, and compared to prices we're used to in Dallas, the price for a pint was a pleasant surprise.... More

Took the extended family (12) out for affordable seafood. Reviews from the 12 of us are all over the place from excellent (basic fried fish) to pretty good (gumbo, grits and shrimp), no not so impressed (seafood salad). The price is reasonable for seafood, and it's local. Very comfortable/casual atmosephere. Staff was generally friendly. I think it favors the locals... More

This has some great local dishes but prices are average to high. The atmosphere is nice on the water but if thats what your looking for Lookout 49 on the beach is has the same owner. If looking for more party atmosphere and seafood try shaggys on the beach or The Dock on industrial seaway.

My wife & I were one of 3 couples who docked at the Back Bay for dinner on Saturday night 5/19. I would guess that not too many people arrive by boat, since the dock is located in an obscure, recessed bayou on the bay. The dock itself is crude & surrounded by scrub brush - but still fun to... More
