For the most part their menu is average. The seafood (both fried & broiled) lacks imagination along with overbattered & small portions of seafood. Staff has problems listening to orders (Especially at the bar). This would be a great location if the staff & kitchen could get their act together.

The interior was much nicer than the outside, giving a try at fine dining atmosphere, however the brown paper table clothes kind of took away from that. Also, the dinnerware needs updating. The plates and bowls looked like something out of the 70's. Our server made excellent recommendations and was very pleasant and attentive. The food was great. The Oysters... More

Rode by this place a few times and finally stopped in. I wasn't impressed right off the bat and should of left then. The hostess, well she just seemed miserable. The place was cute but not sure why any restaurant would put a roll of brown paper over top of beautiful black tablecloths. I thought this reduced the atmosphere from... More

I bragged on this place to a co-worker only yesterday. I stopped here this afternoon for an early solo visit full of appetizers, entrees and libations. The hostess (since I was alone) asked if was eating at the bar. No, a table. If I wanted to sit at a bar I would have gone to a bar. She seated me... More

This used to a restaurant we frequented at least once a week. The last time we went here they had changed everything to a "fine dining" from the southern seafood place it had been. We were completely unaware about the change. The sign was the same there was no rebranding. I felt sort of duped and because of my southern... More

Nice scenic location off the beaten path in Gulfport, MS. Our server, Shay, was a delight and very knowledgeable about the menu. She even got the famous "gator balls" prepared by the kitchen staff for us. Their Oysters Rockfellar has a creamy sauce which is very good but I still prefer the original spinach version personally. The stuffed Portebello mushroom... More

My husband wanted to eat hush puppies and have an Irish Coffee and I wanted to eat outside. We ended up at Back Bay Seafood Restaurant eating on the porch. We enjoyed the view of the water and the seagulls catching fish. The waiter was very attentive. The restaurant does not even have hush puppies on the menu, but they... More

The food here was pretty good. We tried the frog legs, alligator, seafood bread, and I ordered the seafood supreme pasta. It was ok, but it was a little over seasoned in my opinion. They have a fun menu, and most of it was pretty good but the atmosphere brought it down for us. Very tacky with all of the... More

I understood this was a stellar place, but I ordered oysters Rockefeller and was sadly disappointed. Instead of creamy spinach.... it looked like someone poured a white cheese sauce over the half shell, without draining the oyster juice by the way. It was a gooey, wet mess with flecks of green in it (spinach?). The hostess was a doll, however,... More
