A little off.

The servers were very nice, as always. I got a table in the bar area with a nice view. The bartender was my server! I thought this would work out just right. Nope. I got my order quickly and the shrimp were good (though hell to peel this time). My glass was empty forever. She washed the tea... read more

I ate at the White Cap two times during my short visit. The seafood food was great and the long row of windows facing the Gulf made for a pleasant view. The only complaint I had was that the waitstaff was shorthanded and my wait for my check was a bit long. The food came right away, though, so it... More

This is THE place to go for great, fresh seafood on the Mississippi Gulf Coast! Located on the beachfront in Gulfport, Mississippi, you have several options for seating for casual dining. You can sit outside on the deck, inside the restaurant, or enjoy your meal in the bar with sports on the TV. The seafood here is always fresh and... More

We are on vacation and a local recommended it for lunch so we decided to give it a try. It was ok but nothing to ride home about. If you are looking for a kid friendly menu then this is not the place for you.

Stopped for an early dinner about 4:30. Were greeted and seated at a window table and a young bouncy waitress immediately took our drink orders. Each time she passed by as she was helping other patrons, she checked to make sure we didn't need anything. The raw oysters were large and plump. The gumbo was tasty, but not as fiery... More

My boyfriend and I were driving through Gulfport and saw this place from a distant and decided to try it. I had a beach burger, which was a basic hamburger, but it was not bad. John had the crab poboy, which he said was good! So I would recommend that to someone. White cap was right across from the beach,... More

Had the oysters on the half shell. They were nice and fresh. My white fish catch of the day was grilled nicely in garlic butter but not enough garlic to notice. The fries were not hot. Overall pretty good meal.

Maybe this is just a staple of living on the Coast or just a reminder of how people on the Coast like bland and fried food. BUt it stays crowded during lunch with the who's who of geriatric residents of MS. The three times I was here I felt cheated by how much I was paying for subpar fried food.... More

Whole family went in on Po-boys. Three had shrimp, one crab; shrimp was better than the crab. Grilled oysters were great!

This place used to have the best seafood on the coast and was a family favorite. Post Katrina it is expensive and the portions are smaller. It was ok but not as good as I previously remember. My family drove several hours to eat here so we were disappointed. I have had relatives tell me the bread pudding is good.... More
