It was a great place to eat, but after dark the atmosphere was terrible. If you go, make sure you get in and out before dark.

We drove from Tunica, about two hours one way, to eat at this historical place. I must say that it was well worth the drive and next time we are in Memphis / Tunica, we will make the jaunt to Doe's. No need for a knife, you can eat the Ribeye with a fork. Debbie, our server, was delightful and... More

From the outside view most will be deterred from entering. But the moment you and are greeting in the kitchen and sent through to the dining room, you know you are in for a unique experience. We intentionally stopped for a stay over in Greenville from NOLA to Memphis just to eat at Doe's. We saw a spot on Food... More

When you see the place from the outside you can't believe its a restaurant. When you walk inside you walk through the kitchen before getting to the dining area. Just a real basic place with barely enough room filled with tables and chairs for eating. The food however is off the chain. No menus, limited steak selection but the smallest... More

For sure you should eat at such an iconic establishment if you have a chance. My husband took me for my birthday (he has been before) so I could say I had eaten at such a renowned place. We had some tamales for app, they were great. We had a porterhouse steak, and it was an excellent piece of beef.... More

This restaurant is located in a horrible neighborhood. The exterior is just as deteriorated as the interior is. The grungy appearance of this place had me on the lookout for rats and/ or roaches - didn't see any while we were there (thank goodness) - the meal was average ..really- it was nothing special but the prices are unbelievably high-... We are very fortunate to have such unique steakhouse in Greenville,Ms. For steak the porter house and the filet are both exceptional. My wife and I relocated to Greenville from steak country (Houston, TX.) five years ago and found Doe's capable of competing with Houston's best, and with a "Mississippi Delta" atmosphere. P.S. The fries and tamales (yes tamales,a Delta... More

I have always heard you have to eat at Does if you are in the area. I went there while on business. It is just like others say in rough area and not some where you would think you would want to go in. It is a very unique restaurant and something to experience but I found the food to... More
