I think I could eat here every meal. I think the tamales are fantastic! Add some chopped pork, corn nuggets, beans and slaw and you've got a feast. can't wait to come back

I wanted to like these so much. My family grew up in the Delta so after 36 years of eating them I developed a fine taste for this unique delicacy. Live where there is no such thing as a Hot Tamale....other than a different dish. Anyway, a friend traveled to the Delta and I of course requested hot tamales. I... More

Used the drive-thru window so can't really speak to atmosphere. But the service was quick & food excellent. I got the tamales & my wife got the chili cheese fries. Both were spicy, hot & messy. All good signs of awesome grub. Also found out that Dale Earnhart had tamales from here flown to his races each weekend before his... More

Mr. and Mrs. Hicks have been making tamales for more than 40 years. Try a few (at least three) and you will see why they are so popular. Also, they are inexpensive. The pulled pork sandwich also was very good.

We read the great reviews for this place and couldn't wait to try this place. All 4 days we were in Clarksdale they were closed. From what we were told by the locals this appends a lot. Don't make plans on eating here.

The BBQ lunch special was 2 BBQ sandwiches for $5! Wow. Great for our roadtrip budget. A little on the greasy side, but pretty delicious.

Never had a better tamale. Also good were the pulled pork sandwiches and rib tips. Authentic, down-home experience.

I've never eat at the resturant but took a chance and ordered 5 dozen via UPS --- They were as good as they get and packed in a cooler and iced down ---- got here in 2 days and I live in Northeast Arkansas ---- I ordered the mild beef tamales an they were plenty hot for me --- excellent... More

The tamales here were very unique and different from the previous tamales I had had in other places in the US. Where I remembered a tamale as a sometimes dry block of masa harina with little filling, I found Hick's to be moist little compact things with a great ratio of filling and corn coating. They were served with chili... More
