Very Good!

Not fancy - real "down home" but the crawfish (and other things) were very good and the servers were friendly and helpful if you're a crawfish newbie. I don't think the place even has a website, that's how back to basics it is. Will go back the next time I'm in the Biloxi area. It's about a 30... read more

The food was good and we enjoyed our meal but I wish you could order something other than fried. The place is small and could really use some updating but the wItress was very nice and I did really enjoy my crab cakes. The bread pudding however was not very good and the sauce was like pancake syrup only thinner.

My husband and I decided to take a short drive to an out of the way restaurant, mostly out of curiosity. We walked into Taranto's and found people packed in every conceivable corner either eating eagerly or patiently waiting for their food. Just as we walked into the restaurant we heard one of the greeters say "would it make a... More

We stopped for lunch after reading about this place on TA. There were indeed many pick up trucks parked outside at 2 in the afternoon. We got seats right away and ordered the gumbo and a shrimp poor boy to share. Perfect for a late lunch. The gumbo was good but not the best we tasted while on this trip... More

The trucks and cars parked outside tell you this is a local favorite. Once inside, you are greeted by friendly people and you just pick a seat. The decor is "fishing camp" and appropriate for a local and unpretentious eatery. My wife and I had the shrimp and crawfish bisque after ordering a generous portion of fried pickles to share... Great service, wonderful boiled seafood and a great server made Tarantos one of our favorite stops. Although I can't say whether or not I would seek out crawfish or a platter of them for a meal again, I appreciated the experience!

I had the bisque and it was the best I've ever eaten. My husband had delicious catfish. The place doesn't look like much from the outside and it's not fancy but food and prices are great and the staff are so polite and friendly.

The best service and best seafood ever! Servers were very friendly and attentive. We order the crawfish platter and then 6 in po-boys. The crawfish was seasoned to perfection. So many times when you eat crawfish in a restaurant, they seem afraid to season it and get it spicy and like it should be. Not Tarantos! They seasoned it just... More

Stopped in for a cup of yummy seafood gumbo and a side of shrimp (10) both of which came with two pieces of "Texas" toast. For less than $10 I had a delicious and filling meal and was helped by a vet friendly staff.

Stayed in Biloxi for a few days and wanted some great seafood. Checked and found this was #1 on Trip Advisor and decided to try it after a drive to New Orleans. Cricket was our waitress and she was awesome. Highly recommend the gumbo, bisque, crawfish, and seafood platter. Reasonably priced and delicious. They were out of fresh oysters which... More
