We like to try little hole-in-the-wall places and this one was a winner. If you're not stuck on appearances (& obviously we're not since we seek out places off the beaten path) you will be wowed by the food. The crab and crawfish poboys were great - fresh & not greasy at all, and the pulled pork was nice and... More

If you want the best seafood you've ever had GO TO TARANTO'S CRAWFISH. Food and service was excellent. Shoog is the best server ever. She was very nice and a big asset to the experience. This little place is a BIG DEAL. I will surely make the drive from Atlanta again just for the food. Prices are great and we... More

The gps on trip advisor takes you on a wrong turn at the last minute. There was a sign there so we found it no problem. It's a funky roadside cajun hideaway. Don't expect glamour. Expect good down home Cajun cooking. Fried pickles, seafood gumbo soup loaded with shrimp 6/7 in a cup, and the fried shrimp basket. All hot... More

We visit the south Mississippi area quite often and wanted to try something "not on the beach" And used TA as a guide. Not a fancy place but it is great to be around local people. You know most beach tourists will not find this place. We started off with the gumbo and loaded fries. Both were good. My husband... More

Another winner by the Tripadvisor reviewers. Was vacationing in New Orleans and made a day trip to Biloxi. Whatever you do, if you are close to Biloxi, find this place. You will not be disappointed with the food or service. As other reviewers said, they know how to do crawfish here.

If you want the best freshest sea food y ou must go. Seriously. We spent a week in new orleans and ate many places, but this was the best of the best. Crawfish were great. Fried oysters were superb! Not a fancy place but a good old home cooking one. You will not be sorry you went. Service was awesome... More

Off the main road, but worth looking for! Cheerful, friendly, efficient staff warned us of a large platter of food. It WAS large and very delicious.

Thanks for that recommendation, stopped in Biloxi on the way to New Orleans. It's looks a bit strange from the outside but this adds to it's charme. Shrimps Buffalo Style were nice and the Po Boys with Crawfish was of the best sandwiches I ever had. Staff was very friendly. Definitely worth to turn off the HIghway.

This little place had the best gumbo and seafood! Highly recommend! It's way off the main road but definitely worth finding. You won't be disappointed.

To start, Taranto's Crawfish is definately off on the beaten path. At lunch time, it is packed with all of the locals, which is a great sign for any great resturaunt. It has a unique atmosphere, enjoyable if you like sitting close to some very friendly southern gentlemen. Now for the best part, the food. The gumbo is to die... More
