Fried Eggplant appetizer is a must

I had a certificate from Restaurants.com because I had heard how great this place was so I had to go. When I drove up I questioned that decision. When I walked in, I really questioned that decision. This restaurant, both from the outside and from the inside is not very appealing. So we sat... read more

No frills, but food was pretty good. It's a great value hole in the wall. Lots of seating. We ordered the country fried steak dinner. It came with 2 sides a dessert and a drink. Our bill was less than 20 bucks for the two of us. We left full. I believe the country fried steak is purchased frozen not... More

Great southern buffet. I've been living here for almost 3 years and finally found my new favorite. I'm there almost every weekend for the buffet or the best roast beef Poboy on the coast. A must try if your on the coast!

Wanted only the basics, fresh gulf shrimp and oysters lightly battered and fried plus some decent sides. Totally disappointing. Shrimp were grossly overcooked and flavorless. Salad bar mediocre and just so so sides. Wished I hadn't remembered the name when it came up on my GPS.

If you are looking for some finely cooked seafood which is both local and fresh, I believe I may have found just the place for you. We found the decor and ambience to be small town-like and the service was friendly and timely. Both times we went we had the lunch special which allowed you three or four choices and... More

Hadn't been here in a while. The food is good as I remembered. A little pricey but you'll like what you get.

We arrived on Sunday during the after church crowd had begun to gather. We were seated instantly, food was very good and service was great. Due to the crowds, we had to wait for fresh hot chicken and fish to be brought out. I would definitely go back, but would pick a better time. Sunday is the only day the... More

I had a restaurant.com certificate for $25. and this is a restaurant that honors them so I decided to give it a try. First off, I didn't expect it to be located where it was. With a name like Port O Call, I guess I expected it to be near the water...it was not. Drove up and the building is... More

So many resturants have a problem with consistency but not Port O Call. They have always served excellent food every time I have visited. It's not fancy in decor or food presentation. It's what I call a "mom and pop". But, how bad is that? When I am asked, "Where's the best place to eat around here?", I always say..."My... More

The food was a great value & tasty. The Catfish Lemoyne & oysters were well prepared. Even the bread was good. Unfortunately the service was terrible. The waitress was not friendly with our dinner party although she was with other patrons whom she seemed to know. I think they were locals. It took over 45 minutes to get our order... More
