I have been working in the area for months but did not go to Mary Mahoney's figuring it would be an over priced tourist trap. Had a golf group in town and went Friday and enjoyed it so much we went back on Saturday. Took my wife the next weekend! It is expensive, but you knew that. Food was excellent... more

Not as good as other smaller places. Definitely try it once but you will be shocked when your bill comes. I have been before and the food was average. I just was there this past week and took some folks who were on the coast for the first time. I think everyone should go once. We had two glasses of... more

What an incredible restaurant! My sister-in-law suggested it to us and we were beyond pleased with the choice. We each chose the fresh catch of the day - my husband chose the Yellow-fin and I chose the Red Snapper - both were stuffed with jumbo lump crabmeat. It was melt in your mouth delicious. I would travel to Biloxi just... more

A great special occasion restaurant. A one of a kind place. Beautiful courtyard. Food was excellent but expensive. I had the biggest filet mignon I have ever seen and cooked to perfection without being asked if they could butterfly it. Our waiter (Marshall) was exceptional. If you dine there ask for him - he was more than accommodating. Make sure... more

My sister , some friends and my boyfriend and I all went to Mary Mahoney's for lunch today. I had eaten at the cafe' some years back but had never been to the "main" restaurant. It is a beautiful old southern home from the 1700's. Not sure what the name of the room we ate in was but let me... more

My husband and I visited a B & B in 2003 and luckily found Mary Mahoney's nearby. My husband was familiar with her reputation but had never eaten there. We were impressed with the atmosphere immediately. (If Mary Mahoney's ever adds on guest accommodations, we'd love to reserve a date! ) We dined in the George Ohr room. I don't... more

We had a 7:30 pm Saturday evening reservation at Mary Mahoney's. Several friends had eaten there and given it mixed reviews. As we were staying at the Hard Rock Hotel and it was close by we decided to try it. We were seated, given menus and water and then ignored. 15 minutes went by and several times both my husband... more

Mary Mahoney's claims to be the premier restaurant in the Mississippi Gulf Coast area. This claim is a bit overstated. The atmosphere is terrific, the service excellent, but, unfortunately, the food is not very good and is extremely overpriced. The "World Famous" seafood gumbo was “gummy" in texture and lacked the taste, aroma and spice that one would find even... more

I had heard of this unique restaurant and it met every expectation. A little pricy, but the food was excellent and the service exemplary. The crab legs for appetizers were unique and flavorful and the baked flounder was some of the best I have experienced. Obviously the setting and décor reminisced the Deep South plantation style and this location is... more
