My husband and I were in Biloxi on Sunday, July 27, 2014. We had been to Biloxi twice before and really enjoyed Mary Mahoney's. Because it was Sunday, they were closed; so we read the wonderful reviews for Half Shell and decided to try it. We could not have picked a better place! The wait for 2 was 45 minutes... More

My husband and I came here on a date while vacationing in Biloxi. We walked in around 5pm on a Saturday night but were able to be seated almost right away, even without reservations, because it was just two of us. Reservations seem to be preferred, but not necessary. It was very busy, but a beautiful building, and nice people.... More

Tried Half Shell Oyster House because of the review from Trip Advisor. I had my first Royal Reds and I have never eaten anything better. This will be my first restaurant when I come back to Biloxi. Thanks for your rating, we do look for every city we visit

Chose to eat at Half Shell after reading reviews on Trip Advisor. We were not disappointed. We arrived around 12:30 on a Friday and there was a lunch crowd. Instead of waiting for a table we decided to go to the bar. The downstairs bar was a little crowded so we went upstairs. It was a good decision- we had... More

Better get there early as the long lines really indicate how good the food is. Although its not luxury dining with white lines on the tables, you will not care once the food arrives. You have to try the oyster samplers and the Ruby Reds. This has got to be one of the best local eateries in Biloxi and is... More

This place is right down the street from Hard Rock and easy to get to. Easy to get parking also. I sat at the bar. Had some oysters, gumbo, cajun patatoes, and the flounder with crab meat sauce. Everything was good. The flounder stood out and the gumbo was good. I would recommend the place. The bartender was nice and... More

We visited Biloxi and wanted some good seafood. A friend suggested Half Shell. It was great. The charbroiled oysters were amazing. I had the Royal Reds. Never had them before and that was a treat. Sort of like little lobsters yum!

This restaurant is in a building that used to be a bank before Hurricane Katrina hit the area. It is decorated very nicely and has a lot of character. The oysters are WOW!! We had the sampler and liked all of them. Also had the red snapper that was excellent. I had the sweet potato side dish that was like... More

While visiting Biloxi for an Alan Jackson concert we found this place wondering the streets around the hotel. A very charming atmosphere was made even more amazing by the incredible seafood we had - specifically three or four different varieties of fresh oysters and gulf shrimp. Our server Courtney was engaging and made us feel very welcome not only to... More

Char broiled oysters were great. Bar staff was excellent while waiting approximately 45 min for our table. My wife and I both ordered $24 dinners only to gave the grouper and red fish over cooked and dry.
